Fantasy Football Scout daily hot topic

Who looks to be the best triple captaincy candidate for GWK 37 and why?

With no Aguero, Sanchez or Kane there is slim pickings in Gameweek 37.

There are some safe options, who should at least get some returns. In this bracket I'd put Payet, Fabregas, Defoe and Deeney.

Then there are some potentially lucrative risks like Sturridge (rotation risk/constant injury worry), Hazard (was Bou a blip) and Carroll (rotation risk/constant menace to defences).

I'm completely undecided but have provisionally put it on Payet with a view to looking at better options. I see at least a couple of assists from him so he's a good starting place for the triple captaincy chip.

    1. Numb
      10 years, 6 months ago

      Payet at this point

      1. Numb
        10 years, 6 months ago

Player and team playing well, nailed on with two home fixtures, high ownership

Can't think of anyone else who has all this

      2. Numb
        10 years, 6 months ago

Seems like most people agree. The one thing I can see changing this is Liverpool going out of Europe - one of their attackers could be tempting.

    2. Exeter Gently
      10 years, 6 months ago

payet imo. involved in most attacks, great player, good support cast, both games at home.

      Dimitri Payet....just because

    4. Jazz!

Carroll imo. In form, excellent stats, undroppable atm and the striker of an inform Hammers side.

    5. John Nerdelbaum
      10 years, 6 months ago

probably payet - nailed on and that swansea game could be golden

      nothing else appeals that much

    6. DGWjegy
      10 years, 6 months ago

Payet - easy decission , no need for overthinking

he has , stats , form , spark and 2 home fixures

      at least +40pts incoming

    7. @FPLMason
      10 years, 6 months ago

      for safety, Payet
      for risk, Sturridge

    9. thegaffer82
      10 years, 6 months ago

Payet's form is a little patchy or he'd be the obvious candidate.

I'm interested to see if Sturridge is benched for the Europa game and if they get knocked out, then he will surely start the first game of the DGW and likely the 2nd too as they have no other commitments to worry about.

He looks a banker should that scenario transpire

      1. Ruth_NZ
        10 years, 6 months ago

"Payet's form is a little patchy"?

Where do you get that from? He has been performing exceptionally well. Or are you referring to FPL points (which are not at all the same thing)?

For me it will be Payet or Sturridge or Hazard/Pedro if I decide to get one of them in.

Sturridge will depend on him not playing 90 on Thursday. Hazard/Pedro will depend on Monday and whether I can discern what Hiddink is likely to do re. selection. But I'll be happy to go with Payet otherwise.

Our most loyal Hammer signing off to our beloved home after so many years. It has everything we need for a massive dgw from Nobes.

    14. The Mandalorian
      10 years, 6 months ago

Sturridge will not start both DGW's, Klopp won't take the risk.
Carrol's form has affected Payet returns plus United just beat them.
Defoe plays at home against two leaky defences plus he's explosive.

Payet is the Dullard choice and that's where I have my TC at the moment. Studge (out of EC) or Carrol is more risky but potentially lucrative

Don't forget these are WHM last games before moving and also pushing for top 4/Europe. Payet / Carroll should be motivated and I doubt there will be rotation.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Sunderland 'win' more penalties given their situation and two home games to come.

Payet in for Coutinho this week. Defoe is tempting but I feel West Ham have more goals in them. Hopefully they'll bury Swansea and Payet will be involved. Anything after that will be a bonus.

    Mahrez - Payet - KDB* - Sanchez - Lingard

20 points ahead of my rival with a couple extra DGW players, but he has Defoe and Carroll. Which transfer should I make?

    A. Rashford to Defoe
    B. Kane to Carroll
    C. Kane to Sturridge
    D. KDB to Hazard
    E. Something else

I wouldn't make any move until after the Europa League matches. If Sturridge starts, he's unlikely to start against Watford and by then we'll have more information about Hazard for MNF.

    DDG (Darlow)
    Moreno Cresswell Smalling (Bellerin R.Bennett)
    Hazard Firmino Payet Barkley (Sanchez)
    Sturridge Defoe Carroll

3 pool players are risky, but can't fint any better alternatives for now.

Moreno to Martin/Olsson. Firmino to Brady/Redmond. Sturridge to Deeney/Rashford. Barkley to Fabregas/Hazard/Willian/Pedro depending on later match performance.

Liverpool = 1 match players. If they goes through to the finals then it'll be a no-show from them in 38. Europa finals is just 3 days after GW38.
