Fantasy managers are treated to the remaining eight matches of Gameweek 16 this Wednesday evening, with a trio of
encounters getting underway at 7.45pm.

Sadio Mane and Divock Origi are the form men as Liverpool look for a first win in three at the Riverside. Roberto Firmino arrives on the back of four straight blanks and was second only to Charlie Austin for transfers out in the Gameweek.

With Eden Hazard absent, the stage is set for Diego Costa as Chelsea visit Sunderland. The Blues frontman was the most captained player in Fantasy Premier League for Gameweek 16, with 23% handing him the armband.

West Ham embark on the first of three very favourable fixtures, with Dimitri Payet and Michail Antonio on our radars for the visit of Burnley.

In the 8pm matches, all eyes will be on Captain Poll winner Harry Kane as Spurs welcome Hull to White Hart Lane. We’ll also be monitoring Scout Picks duo Toby Alderweireld and Christian Eriksen against the struggling Tigers.

In-form pair Christian Benteke and Zlatan Ibrahimovic go head-to-head as Palace welcome United to Selhurst Park. With returns in six of the last seven, Wilfried Zaha was the most transferred in player for Gameweek 16.

With Sergio Aguero suspended, faith in Man City has dwindled ahead of what should be a plum home clash against Watford. Kevin De Bruyne is the man most likely as the Etihad side look to recover from back-to-back defeats.

We’re also keeping a keen eye on Differential Sofiane Boufal as Southampton head to Stoke. Having bagged the winner at home to ‘Boro, the Moroccan could be set to step up in the absence of Charlie Austin, promoting his prospects as a mid-price midfield candidate ahead of some fine fixtures.

West Brom have their work cut out to stop Gylfi Sigurdsson as Swansea make their way to the Hawthorns.

The Swans’ playmaker has racked up four goals and as many assists in eight appearances under Bob Bradley and faces a defence with one clean sheet in the last 12 Gameweeks.

Matt Phillips and Salomon Rondon also have the chance to maintain momentum tonight – Swansea have conceded 12 goals in four road trips since their new manager was installed.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Was doing quite well with strategy of cheap defense (low tv) but came a surprise when there where so many clean sheets with heavy heaters not performing
Best of luck to all, goodbye from me with score of 36 (-4).

Firmino & Iheanacho to Pogba & Origi for free? Got two transfers and whilst I'm cautious of getting rid of Firmino after being stung in the past, I think Pogba may be about to boom with the coming fixtures.

Mini league rival managed to get a Heaton penalty save and a Rondon vice captain after Hazard's no show.

Got me thinking, what are the luckiest things that can happen in FPL

    Here are a few to start us off;

    - Penalty save
    - Double digit bench player getting subbed in
    - Double digit vice captain becoming active

    Any other suggestions?

Alright to save my ft. Have 0.9itb.

    Foster (Jaku)
    Alonso, Holebas, Pieters (Cedric, Amat)
    Sanchez, Hazard, Eriksen, Siggy, Phillips
    Kane, Costa (Nacho)

There are probably some moves I can make like Nacho to Origi but the Everton defense only conceded 1 goal v Arsenal so maybe Liv v Eve will be low scoring. I could go Cedric to Jones but I can see WBA scoring.

    Thanks & thanks.

Falling stars update....I'll post this a couple of times over the next couple of days because I know it's liked by some and it proves a point.

After last weeks debate about the importance (or not) of TV and early transfers I resurrected my old falling stars post for the week as the only way to settle the debate. As always it's a fictitious team/squad made up of players who have all fallen in value since GW1 and collectively are worth less than the original 100 mill budget....with the aim of beating the GW avg....

    more here...http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2016/12/13/the-midweek-team-news-21/?hc_page=6#hc_comment_14636606

This week the falling stars managed 60pts with a squad valued at 99.8....

12 points above the GW avg...

Huge variance in there! Really enjoying that league this season in particular, excellent stuff! 😀

I've somehow talked myself into a stupid point hit though so I'm expecting my rank to take a hit next week...

That was the team before the hit... crazy I know, I regret not listening to you already!

I shouldn't of done it but I've plunged for Benteke and Phillips --> Origi and Eriksen(-4), I was scared of the latter two killing me in the coming weeks and the former two's fixtures stink... it does look a mistake on paper though! 🙁

Och who knows, Eriksen is very appealing especially if you don't have him (? you know what I mean).
You're on a roll, so good luck with it.

Sorry if this has been posted earlier, but a quote directly from Origi after tonight's game:

On how long he will keep his good form:
"Hopefully as long as possible, I think. I'm feeling better and better every game, so I'm starting to know the other team mates, their passes, their routines, their way of runnings so it helps. Obviously I'm always happy to help the team."

No questions about an injury. He looked fine and happy.

Make your own decisions whether he is injured or not.
