Assessing Shakespeare’s Leicester City

Leicester City’s decision to part company with Claudio Ranieri back in late February came in for some harsh criticism at the time yet the impact under Craig Shakespeare has forced a sharp reassessment of the Foxes’ potential.

Four straight wins in all competitions, scoring three times in their trio of Premier League matches since the Italian left the King Power Stadium, bodes well ahead of back-to-back home encounters with Stoke and Sunderland and a trip to Crystal Palace in the next four rounds of fixtures.

With that in mind, we take a look at the Foxes’ displays since Ranieri was relieved of his duties as Fantasy Premier League managers consider a short-term move for their in-form assets.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

1 free transfer, my next two trades. Which would you do this week?

    1) Baines > Vertonghen
    2) Coutinho > Sanchez

I don't quite follow the Baines exodus. He should excel without Coleman on the other flank.

Chose him over Coleman when they were both 5.6. Lost points with his injury with the blank gameweek 28, and still waiting on that pen.. Everton fan

Coleman to Valencia done last night. Good to go? Or anything worth a hit?
Probably bringing Ibra in next week for Carroll/Llorente

Ok I have a Coleman dilemma, do I keep and lose value to take care of midfield, or ship for Alonso/Walker?

    Heaton
    Maguire Valencia Pieters
    Sterling* Mane Firmino* King Siggy
    Carroll Lukaku

    Foster/ Coleman** McAuley Llorente

    1FT 4.9 ITB

I would like Spurs cover, so would be ditching either Sterling or Firmino for Alli.

    Any advice much appreciated!!

Coleman to Alonso imo. Llorente first on bench, maybe even play him over King

Thankyou sir. I'll be playing King though based on recent form, Llorente first on bench.
Dire gameweek for who to play/who to bench!

Haha, well Swanck has spoken some wisdom to himself!

Do you really think that is worth the -4 in my case? Just thinking about Arsenal's defence

After Arsenals last dire perforance, is it worth waiting to see how they react against City before bringing in Sanchez?

Yes and no. We know Sanchez is in good form (see Chile performance), and we know he can produce even when the team is doing poorly. On the other hand, they are playing City, and . . . wait, there is no other hand. 😉

Seriously, I think one can afford to wait until next week, but I already have him, and I think he could do something this week.

well if I brought him in, it would be for Barkley on a hit... not such an easy choice.

YEah, I see that. On the other hand, I can't imagine you have intended to keep Barkley long term. Maybe the decision should depend on whether you expect to want to make a different move next week--it could be worth it to get the Sanchez move under your belt so youre free for something else next GW.

    Thoughts on the below?

    Hennessey-Pickford

    Valencia-Walker-B Davies-Cedric-Fuchs

    Sanchez-Hazard-Alli-Siggy-Redmond

    Lukaku-Defoe-Gabbi

3-5-2 and Redmond captain this week, going rogue!
