So, as it transpires, my conversion to the “dullside” is almost complete. How else can I explain the fact that I appear to have formed a hive mind with Jonty.

Having recently caved in and recruited Sergio Aguero, this episode of the ScoutCast sees things take an even more alarming twist as I find myself replicating Jonty’s thinking – for so long the archetype of a dullard Fantasy Football manager.

Andy can only watch on, doing his best to quell my concerns as the three of us tackle another round of community queries. We talk around ways of breaking out of the template that constrains us, discuss the forthcoming fixture blanks, assess the prospect of doubling up on defences and even consider selling Aguero.

Jonty dismisses the idea and, true to form, I agree with him. How did it come to this?

    Currently benching Mahrez or Ali - but so risky. Got to hope Payet gets some points for once.

      I got payet as soon as he was back, captained him for one good return. for me, I think this week is his last chance. if he doesnt do something, Ill get rid, too many good options.

        Excellent, thanks. I want to create a table, as you normally would. I know how to do that but is it possible to select the players I want specifically in that table rather than the system filtering it for me according to my choices?

        Does that make sense. Rather than selecting say 10 variables and the system giving me the players that match, is it possible to pick player 1,2,3 and 4 and then pick the variables so I can compare the stats against each other?

          I think the most you can do is filter by team + position

          Otherwise once the table is created you can check the box to the left and click the "only show selected players"

          Sadly not, you can manually select a subset of players to display on the table once it's built but that's purely for your viewing and not something you can lock so that others see the same thing.

    Captain problems.

    A) Payet - Norwich topping lots of tables for defensive woes, but he seems a bit off he boil
    B) Aguero - Our perennial favourite is up against a tough defensive outfit, but who are his "bogey team"
    C) Firmino - At risk of point sharing with Coutinho's reappearance, but I'm a Brum fan
    D) Sanchez - Had a dream that he scored the third goal in a 3-0 romp, but in real life he's recently pointless against a LEI def that's doing OK...

    Just taken a look at Mahrez in relation to my team:

    Bought in GW8, benched in GW11, sold in GW23
    Average points in my team: 5.86
    Average points not in my team: 9.18

    Along with never owning Ighalo, this has really dragged my season down 🙁

        Haha, I'm not feeling too sorry for myself, I guess we all look at our teams and see what we could have done better - feels like Ighalo and Mahrez were such obvious picks that I shunned for far too long!

          Yeah I hear you. I have a similar story although my rank is massively worse.

          Never owned Ighalo or Vardy. Have had Mahrez for most of the season. Some dodgy captain picks and Sturridge haven't helped! 🙂

    Last night I legitimately had a nightmare that my FPL got hacked and all my players were injured or didn't play. Horrific.

        Well, if a new IP address was used, that's sort of proof.
        9.5/10 times it's probably someone who logs into your account from your browser, with your mail/pw already input

    Listening to the radio this morning,

    Leicester have a max of 13 games left this season.

    Arsenal, City, Spurs have 25-28.

    That's a massive factor!

      I'm not sold

      I think Leicester have been fantastic, I really do.
      I'd love to see them win it - if it wasn't for the fact I'm slightly worried what impact it will have on England's CL spots.

      (Not that Liverpool or Man Utd have done much good on that front last couple years)
