Wigan defender Emmerson Boyce has been diagnosed with broken ribs after coming off in Saturday’s game at City [source]. Boyce is now set to be absent for at least 3 weeks, missing the games against Fulham and Charlton. Some sources are even suggesting that Boyce could be out for around 6 weeks or longer. Although a full-back by trade, he’s been playing centre-back for Wigan alongside Jackson. This gives Wigan a problem for the Fulham game at least. Fitz Hall returns from suspension on 31st and De Zeeuw is on the road to recovery but could struggle to make it for Fulham. Scharner is one possibility. He is nearing fitness and could make a return at the back, at least until De Zeeuw and Hall are available.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
