Henry faces at least another 2 weeks on the sidelines after tearing muscles in both his stomach and groin in tonight’s Champions League defeat to PSV [source]. Henry will undergo a scan tomorrow to assess the full damage but it is thought that he will be out to at least the end of March. This is yet another cruel blow to both Arsenal and Henry, who are now left with a just a battle for fourth place to focus on, after their Champions League exit.

The injury makes Adebayor’s hearing on Friday all the more crucial. He is set to miss the Villa game next Wednesday but will end his 3-match suspension and be available for the Everton away game that follows. However, Adebayor has been charged with “acting aggressively” and “failing to leave the field of play immediately” by the FA as a result of the Carling Cup fracas. It’s not known what punishment will come his way, if his hearing is thrown out, but a further 2-match ban could be on the cards. Without Adebayor, Arsenal are left with just Baptista, Wallcott and Alliadiere to fill the front spots against for 3 away Premiership matches at Villa, Everton and Liverpool.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
