Villa defender Martain Laursen has learnt that he’ll be sidelined for two weeks with the hamstring injury suffered in Saturday’s match at Fulham. A scan revealed that the damage is only minor but the Dane will still miss Villa’s games against Arsenal and Liverpool next week.
Laursen has been haunted by injury during his Villa career and has made just 5 starts for Villa this season. The setback means that Fantasy Managers need not consider selling Gary Cahill just yet. The bargain centre-back is likely to appear in both the Arsenal and Liverpool matches as a result of Laursen absence – although clean sheets in either games, look unlikely.
