Having recently lost Saha to a hamstring injury, United have now learnt that Mikael Silvestre dislocated a shoulder in last night’s Champions League tie, and will now also be sidelined [source]. The defender could be out for up to 6 weeks. While this isn’t a major blow with Evra established at left-back and O’Shea as cover across the back four, it’s another injury for United who have suffered setbacks to Solskjaer, Saha, Scholes and Fletcher in the space of a week.

For Fantasy Managers this injury just makes Evra a more attractive option. Silvestre has replaced Evra from the bench in consecutive matches, which has meant losing points for Evra clean sheets. Obviously this is not a worry now that Silvestre is sidelined.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
