At the risk of making this site look like a dedication to the plight of Man United and Arsenal, Sir Alex has dropped a hint that he will turn to Alan Smith for the solution to the Saha injury. He’s quoted as saying “We are asking questions about how we rotate the squad and who should play up front. Alan Smith comes into that”.

Nothing we didn’t know there then, but he also indicated that Smith will be involved against Boro in this weekend’s FA Cup Quarter-Final which could mean, if he takes his chance, that Smith could feature in United’s remaining games until Saha and Solskjaer return in April. Might be worth a punt, certainly if you’re playing a squad based Fantasy game.
