There’s some vague details over on Tribal Football concerning the injury to Ryan Nelson which forced him off at half-time against Man City in the Cup. Nelson is apparently suffering a complicaton with scar tissue left over from the operation that had kept him out for the early part of this season. It is thought that this problem will clear itself but Nelson may have to be used sparingly by Hughes in forthcoming matches. Presumably, Nelson will return on Saturday for the visit of West Ham but there’s still no confirmation of that.

Fantasy Managers will therefore have to approach Nelson with caution until we know more. Blackburn are certainly a decent bet for clean sheets and have defenders available for mid-range price, however, Nelson does hold the defence together so although Friedal and Samba are good options, Nelson’s absence will have an impact.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
