Chelsea will be without Shevchenko for tonights visit to Upton Park and could miss him for the next couple of matches, including the first leg of the Champions League semi with Liverpool. The striker has apparently damaged his thigh and although Chelsea haven’t confirmed how this came about, rumour has it that it was caused by Shevchenko rather ludicrous air-shot in front of Blackburn’s gaping goal on Sunday. Kalou is likely to step in tonight and for Chelsea’s visit to Newcastle at the weekend.
