Chelsea’s injury woes from last season continue into this as Jose received the news this weekend that Wayne Bridge faces up to three months on the sidelines. According to a report in the Daily Mail, Bridge had surgery on a pelvis injury on Saturday and his rehabilitation will rule him out at least until October. Having boasted two international left-backs, this position is now a problem for Jose with Ashley Cole also struggling to make the season’s opening game as he battles to recover from ankle surgery at the end of last season.
Jose has confirmed that he will now turn to new signing Ben Haim, to fill the left-back role, a position that he occupied on occasions for Bolton last term.
