There’s mixed injury news from the United camp today beginning with the suggestion that Park Ji-Sun will be out until the New Year. Park went under the knife as a result of his knee injury at the end of the season and Sir Alex now reckons he’ll be out at least until December, with a January return more likely. His absence, coupled with the fact that United today sold Kieron Richardson to Sunderland, means that Ronaldo, Nani and Giggs now look likely to fill the two wide midfield slots for the first few months of the season.

There was some better news for United on Gary Neville and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who are now both expected to return to training in time to make the opening game against Reading on August 12. Louis Saha however, will be out of contention for that game as he is currently only just scheduled to return to training at that point.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
