Frank Lampard has been speaking out about the Chelsea injury crisis today as more details on the knocks to John Terry and Didier Drogba surfaced. In a story on Teamtalk this evening, it’s reported that Terry has tweaked his anterior cruciate ligament, an injury to the back of the knee with Lampard quoted as saying that hoped he would return to fitness in “a couple of weeks”.
Meanwhile, Didier Drogba’s injury, also to the knee, is described as minor with an estimated absence of around 10 days. That would see Drogba missing at least 3 of Chelsea’s games in August with a return pencilled in for the clash with Portsmouth on August 25.
