Newcastle will be able to call upon Mark Viduka for the Derby match with Sunderland on Saturday. Viduka has been absent for six weeks with a calf injury but has returned to training this week and will be in contention against Roy Keane’s side. He is almost certain to come into the side given the performance against Portsmouth at the weekend. Alan Smith seems the most likely to make way although he will fight it out for a place in midfield with Geremi, given that Nicky Butt is suspended.
