Gabby Agbonlahor picked up a knee injury in England’s U21 victory over Bulgaria which seems likely to see him miss Tuesday’s clash with Portugal and could make him a doubt for Villa’s game with Boro at the weekend. Agbonlahor has apparently suffered cartilage damage and the injury is due to be examined by the England medical staff over the next few days.

This is significant news for Fantasy Managers playing the Fantasy Premier League game since Agbonlahor is a top target for this particular gameweek with Villa facing two fixtures, Boro and Blackburn away. We’ll doubtless know more on the injury after the weekend, in the meantime it certainly seems worth holding fire before considering the Villa frontman.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
