Emile Heskey could be back in action within a week after it was revealed today that the striker suffered only minor ligament damage to his ankle against Blackburn at the weekend.

A scan was carried out on the injury shortly after the match and no break was revealed. Today’s examination showed only minor damage and there is now talk of Heskey making the lineup for the crucial clash with Fulham at the weekend.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
