Bolton’s Jaaskelainen is out for the season after it was revealed that he’ll need surgery to correct a back problem that has kept him out of the last two games. Al Habsi is therefore likely to see Bolton through for the rest of their relegation fight.
A few weeks ago the news of an injury to Jaaskelainen and the introduction of a cheap Bolton keeper in the shape of Al Habsi, would have been significant with Megson’s men on a run of clean sheets, particularly at the Reebok. Right now however, Bolton are struggling at both ends of the field and Al Habsi will go to Old Trafford on Wednesday expecting a busy night.
Nonetheless, Al Habsi is available in the FPL for just 3.9 which could alert some fantasy managers looking to free up cash for transfers elsewhere, whilst getting themselves a first choice keeper. Plus, with the likes of West Ham and Sunderland to visit the Reebok, there could even be some clean sheets to come.
