United have confirmed that Nemanja Vidic will be sidelined for around 3-weeks with the knee injury sustained against Roma on Tuesday.
Vidic will miss the weekend visit to Boro, the second leg against Roma next week, the potentially crucial clash with Arsenal the following weekend and, possibly the visit to Blackburn on April 19.
The absence of Vidic will likely hand starts to O’Shea although Pique and fit-again Silvestre are options but certainly long shots. That should see increased fantasy interest in O’Shea as a result. Brown’s starting role in the side is also cemented as a result of this injury. He’ll either remain at right-back or shift to central defence with O’Shea slotting in at full-back.
