Fulham have snatched Zoltan Gera from West Brom after the Hungarian international turned down a new contract offer from the newly promoted club [source].
Gera struck 10 goals in all competitions for West Brom last season and has already shown his quality in the Premiership with the Baggies, scoring 6 goals in their 2004/05 campaign. As I’ve noted in my review of the season recently, Gera seems set to represent another decent mid-price proposition alongside current favourites Simon Davies and Jimmy Bullard in the Fulham midfield.
Talking of Bullard, Hodgson has spoken out about rumours surrounding the future of the player, offering reassurance that the fan-favourite will be going nowhere [source]. Sunday’s papers suggested that Hodgson had invited offers for Bullard, with Villa and West Ham already making enquiries.
