Kevin Keegan has revealed that both Obafemi Martins and Damien Duff are likely to be out for around a month with the injuries sustained against Bolton at the weekend.
Martins pulled up with a groin injury and was replaced mid-way through the second half of Saturdays game, while Duff picked up a knee injury. According to Keegan both will be out for “three or four weeks” with the injuries.
Keegan also revealed that Mark Viduka was still over a month away from a return while Alan Smith and Andy Carroll were also sidelined. With Milner handing in a transfer request on Wednesday, Newcastle’s resources are once again stretched as they prepare to face Arsenal at the Emirates. Keegan is now certain to start with Owen up front, with Gutierrez in support and Geremi and N’Zogbia coming into midfield.
