Roque Santa Cruz is feeling confident about the injury he sustained at Upton Park at the weekend and hopes to be in international action for Paraguay on Saturday.
The striker suffered a recurrence of an Achilles injury he first suffered in a pre-season game against Wolves but is adamant that the setback is a minor one.
“I feel good. This injury is less significant than another one I had in the past”, remarked Santa Cruz today.
Paraguayan medical staff have examined the Rovers striker and hope that he can play a part in their World Cup qualifying clash against Argentina this weekend.
