Tim Cahill has returned to full training for Everton and a return to action is now imminent. The midfielder has been sidelined since breaking his fifth metatarsal back in March, however David Moyes has now confirmed that he has stepped up his rehab.

“Tim has started training again and we are glad to have him back with us”, remarked the Everton boss. “He looks really sharp and fit and he’s obviously looked after himself during the time he was out.”

The Stoke game this weekend is likely to come too soon for Cahill, although a return for the Merseyside derby at the end of the month looks on the cards. Despite his importance to an Everton side currently low on confidence, Moyes is clearly not keen to rush his return to action.

“I don’t know when he’ll be available again but he’s coming along nicely just now. The one thing we won’t do, though, is take any risks with him.”

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
