Carlton Cole has sustained an injury and was subbed in the first half of the FA Cup tie with Boro this afternoon.
The West Ham striker and unlikely fantasy favourite was seen clutching his foot after just 23 minutes, although the West Ham site described it as a leg injury. Other reports meanwhile, describe it as a slight strain. Either way, on 33 minutes Cole limped off, replaced by Tristan and there will be some concern over the extent of the problem.
This is a major concern for fantasy managers. Carlton Cole has proved a revelation this season and has enjoyed a massive price rise in the Fantasy Premier League game from 5.5 to his current price of 6.2. This week he has been the most bought striker in the game with another 26,000 investing. This injury however, is likely to slow interest until we know more.
