Steven Gerrard will be missing from the Liverpool lineup that takes the field against Arsenal at Anfield tonight and, according to Rafa, he is unlikely to return to the fold for the trip to Hull at the weekend.

The Liverpool boss confirmed that it would be “difficult” for Gerrard to shake off the strain to his adductor muscle in time to start at the KC.

Gerrard remains a popular fantasy signing and is still owned by just over 24% of managers in the FPL. After 94,000 purchases in gameweek 31 following his hat-trick against Aston Villa, over 36,000 FPL managers have since got rid. This news will surely lead to thousands more pressing the button on Gerrard, particularly as he currently stands on the edge of a price drop from his current 12.2 value.

The likes of Fabregas, Barry and even Liverpool’s own Dirk Kuyt, who will continue in a central attacking role in Gerrard’s absence, are all picking up interest right now.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
