Sylan Ebanks-Blake is set to be sidelined for a number of weeks according to an early prognosis from Wolves manager Mick McCarthy.
The former United striker suffered a hamstring injury late on in the defeat to West Ham and limped off, leaving Wolves with ten men. McCarthy has conceded that “It could be a few weeks” before Ebanks-Blake recovers from the blow, although Wolves are waiting to examine the injury today so we can expect a more certain assessment very soon.
The news will come as a major disappointment for his fantasy owners who saw him draw a blank against West Ham but had him lined up for the trip to Wigan in midweek. McCarthy will now hope to have Kevin Doyle fit to lead the line at the JJB, while us fantasy managers must consider other options with Wigan’s own Rodallega likely to be a popular target.
