Fulham’s 3-1 Europa League win over Amkar Perm last night was marred by an injury to striker Andrew Johnson. The diminutive striker suffered a dislocated collarbone in the second-half and is now expected to be sidelined for around eight weeks according to his boss Hodgson.
The injury to Johnson will now surely leave the way clear for Erik Nevland to gain starts alongside an in-form Zamora. Nevland replaced Johnson in this one and has been unfortunate not to start this term in the side after enjoying an impressive pre-season. Now however, he will get his chance and provide us fantasy managers will a potential bargain.
Nevland has a often rewarded any faith put in him by Hodgson with goals and is priced firmly in the budget bracket in fantasy terms. Indeed, those playing the Fantasy Premier League game can currently pick up the Norwegian for just 5.0. The home game with Chelsea this weekend is perhaps not the best starting fixture for Nevland, however he follows that with a fairly decent run of opposition (avl EVE wlv ARS whm HUL).
