With another international break almost over, we can at last start looking forward to gameweek 9. For 32 FPLer’s however, there is far more to look forward to than just your standard gameweek. They are the remaining participants in the inaugural Fantasy Football Scout Cup, sponsored by Paddy Power.

So, in alphabetical order, the first name in the hat is Aldershot Rejects, then we have Barkerov, who defeated SIR PAULOS in round 1. Bedknobs and Boomsticks is in after victories over da Beeez in round 4 and Yogesh in round 3, Breakballartist makes the draw, with a notable victory over puffinboy in round 1 on his record.
Brick‘s in, having beaten Sound 11 70-42 in the previous round, and Burton has made it despite his lowest scoring week in round 4. Chucky77, who eliminated Pop Ooh Yeah F.C. in round 4, is in, along with Comfy_Coxy whose four victories were against Andy, Hullesian, Gargamel and BilboBaggins. denial (victor over BP FC in round 1), deppy35, djman102 (victor over Steve in round 4) and donnellyc all navigated their way through to the fifth round.
Also in the draw are firecamel and Forest Green Rovers 4 eva, aswell as Frankel who eliminated the poster Alan Partridge (formerly known as Mystic Meg). George is in after defeating round 3’s top scorer Xtentz. Josepe made the cut, as did LaDiDa, who was top scorer in round 4 and wins a free £25 bet with Paddy Power. One stat he may not wish to hear is that the 3 previous winners of the gameweekly prize were knocked out of the cup the following week.
Leeds_Champion KO’d two Roger’s on his way to round 5, whereas Little Lukin had to beat top 150 opponent andfield_1989 in the previous round, whose decision to captain Van Persie over Fabregas cost him his place in the cup.
With his opponents gameweek score outside the top 1.5 million, marvellus breezed through largely untroubled. Elsewhere, oi keano, pataka and Pocky (who knocked jms out in round 1) make the draw, as does Poshleftme.
After a terrible score of 29 in round 4, at least Pure Olivia won his cup tie by 3 points against franky, and is still somehow in the cup. RaspingDrive, Sam (Team Sam), Shava, Sir Steve Kirk (who has reached this round after victories over Seanigula, Mr CALM, davros and John), Sparky (after beating Lovely Camel 73-40 in round 4) and Wes make up the rest of the draw.
