Morning all. Thanks for your feedback overnight and your votes in the poll. The current thinking there reinforces what I had in mind so I’ve made the decision to revert back to the WordPress comments system this morning.

As Intense Debate allowed us to get through the busy FPL period, I will look to enable that around Fantasy Premier League deadlines. That may lead to some sync issues with comments going missing in posts but I don’t think that this will be a major issue. I will create articles to serve the FPL deadline rush so it’s only likely to be comments in these articles affected. My main aim with this test was to see if we can maintain stability during these periods and so I will be using Intense Debate, along with the chat room, to achieve this.

Many thanks for contributing to the comments during the public test. As we will be using Intense Debat at peak periods, your account and reputations built will be useful to you at these points. I’m also pursuing all the issues raised direct with Intense Debate and if we can get them resolved then I’m hopeful that in the not too distant future, it might be a solution we can use full-time.

So then. All visitors can now revert to their old WordPress usernames and passwords but keep you Intense Debate details handy for the next FPL deadline.

Thanks again. As you were.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
