With the Members area now several months into its existence, we’re about to enter a new phase that will see further development work taking place. This will add an array of new features and also marks the end of the early season offer price of £12.50. From Sunday 17th October the fee for Membership will revert to the standard price £20.

So, if you’re yet to sign up as a Member you have just over a week to get in at the offer price of £12.50.

You can view the current benefits here or watch the a YouTube movie we’ve put together, handing you a preview of the current features on offer.

In addition to the current crop of features, Phase Two of the Members area will bring a host of new offerings. Here’s a glimpse at some of the stuff currently on the development list…

  • View all Opta stats by Gameweek – Filter Player and Team statistics for a single gameweek.
  • View all Opta stats by Gameweek Range – Filter Player and Team statistics for a range of gameweeks. So, for example, you can use this facility to view Arsenal’s data over a range of Gameweeks with or without Cesc Fabregas. Custom filters such as this will be supplied as suggestions.
  • View all Opta stats for Home/Away fixtures – Filter player data by Home and Away fixtures to find those players who perform best on the road and those who only produce for home fixtures.
  • View all Opta stats against specific opponents/group of opponents – View those players and teams who raise their game against the cream and the “flat-track bullies” who always produce against the bottom four.
  • New Player and Team Tables – New calculation tables will provide new key data for each position. For example you’ll be able to view stats such as Goal Attempts per minute/start, Crosses per minute/start to help analyse player performance.
  • Revised Player Projections – The new Projection tables will utilise the Opta data to “project” Fantasy returns based on performance stats such as Goals Attempts, Key Passes, Successful Crosses, as well as key Fantasy data such as Goals, Assists and Clean Sheets. This data will be cross referenced with Team statistics and data from previous seasons to create Player Projections that will automatically update each week.

All this goodness is in the works and we’re looking to deliver it in stages over the next few months. I will bring you more on the timescales involved in these features soon. Of course, all our current Members will have access to these features until their Memberships expire at the end of the season.

In addition to the above, Pure Olivia has continued his superb work on the Members Season Ticker and we currently have some exciting new features in test that will once again, hand Members extra tools to help with fixture analysis. We will bring you some more details once our testing stage is complete – I may even produce another movie to take you through the feature set.

If you’re yet to sign up and you want to upgrade your registration to a Member before the price rise then click here. Those without a Fantasy Football Scout account can get one here and subscribe as a Member.

Remember, the current price of £12.50 rises to £20 on Sunday 17th October.

For those who are unable or just don’t wish to use the Paypal payment system for Membership, you can now send cheques and postal orders to the following addresss…

Fantasy Football Scout Payment Centre
17 Wilmar Close
Uxbridge
Middlesex
UB8 1AS

Cheques should be made payable to “Fantasy Football Scout Ltd”.

Please be sure to register a “Free” account first and include your username and the email address you used to sign up with with your payment.

Once we receive your payment your account will be upgraded to a Member and you will be sent an email confirmation.

Mark, I posted the other day would it be possible to have all the OPTA stats based on minutes played other than appearances to make it more accurate.
I note you stated Goal Attempts per minute/start, Crosses per minute/start to help analyse player performance.'
Does this mean all stats can be analysed in a minute format or just those two.
Not that it makes a difference for me as I'll pay whatever within reason, I would just like more accurate stats to form a more informed and balanced opinion.

huntelaar two. i want another late van nistelrooy goal- wish they had brought him for wc to come on in the last 15 mins, could have used his deadliness. rvp was garbage and almost caused team implosion as usual with his baby tendencies. bert should have benched him and played huntelaar after that fiasco and bad form.

Seeing though its Gamestation week which should I buy, the PS3 or X-Box. PS3 games are more expensive but it has a Blu-Ray player but the X-box more variety. What do you think then guys as I'm tired of the Wii? I'm leaning towards the PS3 for a 4 point hit.

I've had all three. My Xbox broke a good while ago and I've never bothered replacing it. The Wii is good craic now and again, but the best in terms of playability, looks (graphics etc) and games is the PS3. Plus unlike the Xbox all the online gaming is free AND it has a bluray player (again unlike the Xbox).
All in all DFD it is a superior machine.

The 2 essential games IMO are
Modern Warfare 2 (but be advised a new version of this is due out next month)
          Fifa 11

Perfect international week time-killer, lovely. I like mine because...

      i) I've only ever owned playstations so am a creature of habit.
ii) It is a blu-ray player too.
iii) The few games I buy are or were exclusive to it.
iv) iPlayer does it's job nicely.
      v) I can hook up my [completely legal...] hard-drive and watch everything on the big screen.
vi) my friends have them too, which always helps.
vii) free online play is a 'nice touch'.

Xbox's probably are fine and can probably cover some of those points, but I've never had one and do believe ps3 is the superior machine - but I don't know what you're after.

Honestly XBoxes are good, and there is a couple of games on there that you wont get on the PS3 (notably Halo), but the bluray and the free online gaming definitely swings it for me. Microsoft are mental making people pay for online use.

Well on the whole, Anybody for a similar price who's actually going to play toher than Harewood? Defence ok if Liverpool start keeping clean sheets and O'Shea regularly plays. 3-5-2 most weeks I guess. Maybe save a few £s by downsizing Hart to a keeper who rotates well with Foster a a cheaper Chelsea defender to give you better options elsewhere. All in all not the worst.

I have not watched the game and Flashscore has Affelay as the winger but I remember him being converted into a more defensive central midfielder so I thought it was him playing there.

Surely CRUSHER will clarify this for us sooner or later.

I'm guessing King Eric is watching the game too, but yeah, Afellay is playing as a winger. It doesn't make much sense because what you said is true, for PSV hehas been playing as a somewhat defensive midfielder a lot. It has become pretty obvious VDV is not a winger and when he plays there he drifts in all the time. Afellay is likely to stay out wide a bit more and with Elia, Robben and RVP out, it's pretty much all we have.

All this gaming talk. I remember when I first moved to London, I shared a flat with 2 other blokes and we had a 2 chipped xbox's (so we could play 8-player halo), a chipped ps2 and a game cube and the those crappy dance mats. All played though a projector projecting on one entire lounge wall, so all our furniture was down one end of the lounge.

How times have changed. Now I'm discussing what room the baby is going to go in and whether to buy a sofa bed in the Ikea 10% sale this weekend!

Where's Dbronaldo when you need him?! Time for revenge for all the England stuff during the World Cup...

I bet he was insufferable throughout. Glad it was before my time

To be honest, a lot of what he said was true.. But he didn't make many friends in the process.

99% of people here would say that he was 'insufferable', I just found it all quite amusing.

As a Dundee United fan I'll back Levein to the hilt if at all possible, but this formation really is ridiculous; The Czech are gash now anyway. Opportunity missed (quelle suprise!)
