Our Watchlist rankings have had a quick-fire update following last night’s action, which effectively saw the passing of another of Gameweek. No doubt tonight’s events will bring further changes, but those looking for a quick guide to some mid-term player recommendations can take a glance in their sidebar on the frontpage for our latest rankings.

The headlines include Rafael Van der Vaart’s climb to the top of the Midfielders, thanks in no small part to another goal last night, the injury doubt surrounding Nani (who will re-enter our rankings once we know more) and the continued dip in form for Chelsea’s Florent Malouda…

Improved fixtures for Wolves, Bolton, Liverpool and Man City from Gameweek 13 onwards, has their players all enjoying climbs up our tables across the positions. Marcus Hahnemann appears to offer strong value in the Goalkeeper category, while in front of him we’ve currently gone for Christophe Berra with doubt surrounding the continued starting roles of Richard Stearman and Kevin Foley. Matt Jarvis in Midfield and Kevin Doyle in the Forwards, also climb the table as a result of their promising run of opponents following tonight’s clash with Arsenal.

The Bolton pairing of Kevin Davies and Johan Elmander have climbed to their highest position of the season. Their run of form coincides with a decent run of fixtures which should add up to continued returns in the coming weeks. West Brom’s Peter Odemwingie is sandwiched in between; he’s expected to return against West Ham tonight and looks a strong proposition at 5.1 in the Fantasy Premier League game, with some obliging defences heading his way over the next six Gameweeks.

We will bring you news of any notable changes as a result of tonight’s matches and over the next 48 hours we will be looking closer at a couple of our most notable movers in the rankings.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Is he even registered in the squad? There's that new rule where each team has to have at least 8 home-grown players in a squad of 25 (I think), plus any number of under-21s. If you only have 6 home-grown players, you can only name a squad of 23 (plus any number of under-21s)

Depends whether you're thinking semi-pro, or just ones who could realistically get him.

From the Midlands to Saxony you go through England, Holland and the bulk of Germany. Got to be about 20 clubs who could take him on.

    Please rate my team,

    Hague (Fox)
D Alexander, E Miliband, D Miliband, Harman (Hunt)
Duncan Smith, Balls, Mandleson (Darling) (Cable)
    Cameron Osborne Clegg

Duncan Smith sure to pick up loads of points on the right wing, as will Mandleson, the wily old fox. Clegg is used to playing a little of the right these days of the Cameron/Osborne pairing. Harman is a bonus point magnet, while - like Etherington - D Alexander seems to be awarded assists out of the blue...

Whats everyones thoughts on Brunt? I have had him in for the last 5 weeks and fairly consistent returns apart from last couple, is this a sign of West Brom doing a Hull (cracking start shite finish) or should I stick with him as he can score home and away against anyone. Reason I ask is that I need to free cash and would probably swap him for Barton/Albrigton. Or maybe Pennant if he sorts himself out.

United aren't penetrating enough so far this year and Mancini just doesn't seem to want to take his team off it's leash.

      0-0.

You just watch now, it'll be another 4-3 ding-dong.

City will huff and puff for 75-80 minutes with no break-through, Utd will then grab a late winner from Paul Scholes. Yellow cards for De Jong, Tevez, Barry, Scholes and Vidic.

              Carroll captain, interesting.

Something tells me Newcastle won't show up, I would say 1-1 or 0-1.

Only risk I took was Malouda (C) ahead of Drog, and that's hardly being a maverick.

Looking forward tonight games. I think this will be high scoring GW. We haven't that kind of one for a while. Utd - City goals, Che, Ars, Liv wins a lot of the big guns will produce. It will be all to right captain choice (wasn't always ...?)

P.S. Rooney 11.4m (soon 11.3m), Tevez 11m very soon. Food for tonight. GW 14 onwards especially.

Last year I was 110 points behind in my most important mini league and went Fabregas and Rooney out, Tevez and Lamps in and have closed that gap.

Lamps is my captain for most of the time, past 3 years and he haven't let me down (Listen this The Drogs and Mr. Fabre :))

Id rather take the 7 doubled than risk a 2 pointer from any of the above. Any captaincy that gets you double figures is OK (not going to set the world alight with 5 or 6 doubled for sure but its better than the dreaded 4 pointers or lower!)
