The midweek action in the Fantasy Football Scout Cup III, sponsored by Paddy Power, saw 32 Fantasy Managers battle it out in the hope of reaching the last 16. You can see exactly who has achieved that feat right here, reading on for the round highlights…

As always, we start with the award for the top-scorer of the Gameweek; and this time it’s Roger‘s arm who is raised at the end of the round, and will be the recipient of a free £25 bet courtesy of Paddy Power. With a score of 61, Hapless Hat-tricks (36) had no chance, on the wrong end of the biggest points margin win of the round.

Roger’s closest challenger for the prize was DollyDaisy, who powered through to the last 16 with a 56 – 32 victory over rrmc.

The lowest scorer of the round was placidcasual, who could only muster 29 points, much to the relief of RJBroughton with his 37.

Outside the top two scorers and the lowest scorer, the other 29 fantasy managers were all within the range of 32 – 48 points, which resulting many close ties.

None more so than billbadger‘s match with Ann_der_roo. Both managers scored 35 points, and it was Ann_der_roo’s hugely impressive overall rank that puts an end to billbadger’s cup run. That was the lowest score good enough to go through.

Elsewhere, last week’s top-scorer, Gazzamania, has his cup run ended after a single point defeat to DRP (42 – 41).

Probably still smarting from his round one win over Mark, tippman looks to be going all the way. He came out on top 41 – 37 in his fifth round fixture with Unwillingplayer.

Manif once again upset the odds to reach the next round, beating atx1303 45 – 38, and putting himself a dizzying 319,956th in the world.

The fixtures for the last 16 will be published later today, but for now, congratulations to those awaiting news of their sixth round opponent, and commiserations to those whose interest in the tournament has dwindled considerably since Wednesday.

Tonight is gona be a difficult decision on which Wolves mid to go with.
Jarvis seems to be bonus boy.
    Hunt takes the frees
But Millias is getting more shots in and may be more advanced now tha Edwards is out. But could as easily be subbed.

Millias although having scored and assisted in 2 games has got no Bonus points.
Its very off putting. And I reckon Doyle the war horse will play at the weekend and keep Millias off pens,

Probably asked this question too many times, but i'm looking for a reason to watch the early united vs Villa match.

Villa haven't beaten united in the last 29 matches.

    Berbatov or Rodellega?

Alright guys, just need opinions on which defender to play from either P.Jones (away to Spurs) or Elmo (away to Chelski)?

I guess P.Jones is a guaranteed starter but I get the feeling Elmo will start this game after his rest in midweek.

    Bosingwa Konch Knight (Hughes Dann)
    Fabregas Bale Cahill Malouda Nolan
    Obina Tevez (Jones)

Thinking of doing wither Obina to Piquione or Cahill or Bale to N'Zog

Everton at home though against an Arsenal squad with a lot of its first choice players out, plus they havent been overly impressive of late.

I know what you mean about Bale, but look at his points, 2 every week for so many matches. If VDV plays Bale gets no points. I have Bale and he's on my bench tomorrow until next week when he's gone for N'Zog

at home against Sunderland, with no Essien to interfere, bench Malouda really?

Adam is the weakest link in your line up this weekend and I reckon Piquionne could get a brace at home to Blackpool. That's not to say Adam wont get one either though

Exactly. Bos took an elbow to the head v Fulham and got subbed off with a few minutes to go. If I had to guess, I'd say he will play, but if there's any doubts on his fitness, they don't need to risk him home to Sun, with a ready-made replacement in Ferreira. I'm going Zhirkov.

    Villa - Cleanie, doesn't play
    Wolves - Cleanie, doesn't play
    Blackburn - No cleanie, plays
    Liverpool - No cleanie, plays
    Fulham - Cleanie, doesn't play
Sunderland - We all know what's going to happen next

I really wanted to save my transfer this week but now if I want to do that I'll have to play Elmo. Joker!
