The midweek action in the Fantasy Football Scout Cup III, sponsored by Paddy Power, saw 32 Fantasy Managers battle it out in the hope of reaching the last 16. You can see exactly who has achieved that feat right here, reading on for the round highlights…

As always, we start with the award for the top-scorer of the Gameweek; and this time it’s Roger‘s arm who is raised at the end of the round, and will be the recipient of a free £25 bet courtesy of Paddy Power. With a score of 61, Hapless Hat-tricks (36) had no chance, on the wrong end of the biggest points margin win of the round.

Roger’s closest challenger for the prize was DollyDaisy, who powered through to the last 16 with a 56 – 32 victory over rrmc.

The lowest scorer of the round was placidcasual, who could only muster 29 points, much to the relief of RJBroughton with his 37.

Outside the top two scorers and the lowest scorer, the other 29 fantasy managers were all within the range of 32 – 48 points, which resulting many close ties.

None more so than billbadger‘s match with Ann_der_roo. Both managers scored 35 points, and it was Ann_der_roo’s hugely impressive overall rank that puts an end to billbadger’s cup run. That was the lowest score good enough to go through.

Elsewhere, last week’s top-scorer, Gazzamania, has his cup run ended after a single point defeat to DRP (42 – 41).

Probably still smarting from his round one win over Mark, tippman looks to be going all the way. He came out on top 41 – 37 in his fifth round fixture with Unwillingplayer.

Manif once again upset the odds to reach the next round, beating atx1303 45 – 38, and putting himself a dizzying 319,956th in the world.

The fixtures for the last 16 will be published later today, but for now, congratulations to those awaiting news of their sixth round opponent, and commiserations to those whose interest in the tournament has dwindled considerably since Wednesday.

    There's nothing wrong with a ranking of around 300k. It's a marathon not a sprint, right? 🙂

      I second that.

I had a tough start, took a lot of more or less stupid hits, but now I have quite a powerful and valuable team.

What was done BEFORE the cup means little once the cup begins. A proud history won't win you any games. 🙂

Can anyone recommend a site/app for Premiership score updates on an iPad? On my PC/laptop I use Premiership Score Centre but the Flash problem on the ipad means that I am now using the BBC site which doesn't have the edge for info on assists/cards/substitutions. Cheers.

Mines on Freddie at the moment aswell, it seems to me that West Ham's defence is so shoddy most of the time that they simply have to be wreckless in their attack, so there should be a couple of goals in every game for them

Mainly it's the extra 0.3m it would give me and allow me to sign Nani and Torres next week.

But also, Milijas tends to shoot a lot, get in the box and is on some direct free-kicks.

The only question mark is whether he'll keep Dave Jones out of the team and become a regular, or whether he'll revert to the bench in a few weeks.

This is one of the best posts ever made on the internet:

Really though, discussing Heaven's Divide in particular is more or less akin to arguing over why I'd rather gouge my eyes out with the "scoop" part of a spoon instead of stab at them with the "handle" end. The takeaway is that my eyes are being ravaged, here. Given the option, I'd much rather use the spoon to eat some pudding instead.

And that's my problem. I want pudding - I even have pudding already on my PSP! - but I can't have pudding while playing this game, because the spoon I would use to eat said pudding is too busy being inside my eyeballs.

Hey, when you rip a CD, is the meta data included on every CD? So you don't have to type out track names or whatever?

    Couple of(3) questions-
    1-foster or Robinson in goal
    2-dann out for konchesky
3-Barton out for midfielder up to 5.1

1 free and a mighty 0.4 in the bank.

      1) Gross choice! Robinson but only marginally.
      2) Sure why not Dann Has nasty fixtures.
      3) Are you afraid that he is going to get sent off soon? I would be inclined to keep him he's a guaranteed starter and more than justifies the price.
