Charlie Adam has this evening earned his tenth booking of the season, a pointless yellow card for a late challenge on Tottenham’s Michael Dawson in a 3-1 win – he will now face an immediate two-match ban. Adam will miss Blackpool’s next two league matches at Wolves and at home to Chelsea.

This comes as a major blow for Fantasy Managers who already face the tough task of getting a full starting XI out for gameweek 28 given the blank fixtures for Arsenal, Spurs and Birmingham. With an ownership of 37% in the Fantasy Premier League game, Adam could now be forced out of many a Fantasy squad through pure necessity.

It’s worth considering that, on Adam’s return from suspension, Blackpool face two straight away games – a pair of tough encounters at Fulham and Blackburn. Following that however, Adam and Blackpool have an incredible run of four consecutive home matches with Arsenal, Newcastle, Wigan and Stoke all due at Bloomfield Road. It could well be feast and famine when it comes to Adam’s prospects then.

Adam opened the scoring from the spot in tonight’s 3-1 for Blackpool and is expected to in amongst the FPL Bonus points once again.

Evening all,
Anyone care to commemt, I am thinking of getting rid of Adam and Fab and brinig in Young and Fletcher for next week with a view to shipping flecher as soon as.
My thinking is bring in Nasri the week after, these are not the changes I wanted to make but needs must.

I'm in a right mess this weekend.

I have Foster, R.Johnson, VDV, Fabregas, RVP, Adam and the possibly injured Cahill. On top of that I have no keeper at the moment. Believe or not, I did attempt to plan for the reduced gameweek, but my team is crumbling around me.

Add to that, I'm so wanting to get Tevez this week, as our League leader coins it in every time he plays at home, but I'd have to ship Berbatov, and that makes no sense at all.

A 3rd wildcard should sort all of this out. 😉

Original plan was Fabs to Cahill, but with Cahill a doubt and Adam out of the next 2 - I think I'm going to do Adam for Barton in a desperate attempt to play 10 men. Like Adam, he's cheap and on penalties. Newcastle's fixtures aren't terrible and he is all over everything they do from set pieces.
