There are injury fears surrounding Everton’s Mikel Arteta after the Spanish playmaker was forced off after just seven minutes of tonight’s 1-1 draw with Birmingham at Goodison.

Early reports suggest that Arteta has suffered a hamstring injury – the player was seen being assisted off the field by two Everton officials, clutching his right hamstring. Details remain scarce on the severity of the injury but David Moyes offered us this post-match…

“It looks like a hamstring injury. It’s too early to say – I’m not sure but I’m guessing he will be out for a few weeks.”

Arteta came into tonight’s game off the back of one of his most profitable Fantasy performances at Newcastle on Saturday, in what has been a hugely disappointing season to this point. All the talk this week from the Everton camp billed the playmaker as nearing his best after his influential display in the 2-1 win. This setback could come as a major blow then, should it result in a spell on the sidelines.

In Fantasy terms it would certainly come as a major disappointment to the 92,000 Fantasy Premier League managers who brought in Arteta ahead of his double fixture in gameweek 29.

The Toffees are next in action on March 19 for the gameweek 30 fixture with Fulham at Goodison; that’s a match that would promise potential returns for Arteta but, right now, he must be considered a major doubt for that game.

There will hopefully be further comment from the Everton camp in the next 24-hours.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Really? Was gonna get that soon, his first album was brilliant, second meh! Think I'll leave it then.

Got Saigons hugely delayed first album coming in the post if youve heard of him? It's meant to be very good.

Just skimming through the Millionaire Club, most of the 38s & 39s go out. Two of the current top 10, 2nd & 9th also go out this week. Less than 200 will survive after this week.

anyone want to suggest a midfielder for under 6.4?
I was thinking of gambling on Sessegnon from sunderland.
Duff, barton, etherington, parker are some others i've considered. I would go with yaya but i already have silva and tevez, don't want to overload on city players.

Chelsea/Spurs strikers have tempting fixtures over next 6 gameweeks.

considering? yes. but i doubt i'll actually do it. i'd lose 0.3. City's games are more than decent for the last 6. and he could always do something in these tougher games in the next 4 weeks.

also Chelsea and Tottenham fixtures are solid, but isn't there too much rotation risk to feel overly comfortable with any of them right now?

I know what you mean da Beeeez, but I'm just trying to play the last couple of fixtures.

I missed the RVP run of good scores by one week. Thought of bringing him in and then he had his first big points haul. At least I had him from the 2nd week thru his good run.

A young I had 2 weeks ago so that was cool. Pity he missed the peno this past gw. Would have been 18+7=25pts in 2 weeks.

Lamps I missed this week. Still feeling stupid about it as it was always on the cards with BPool defence.

Berba is taking up a striker slot in my front 3 and it's irritating. Im holding on to long, as I did with Drogba early in the season. RVP needs to come back and then Im thinking Welbeck as a cheapie. That leaves Tevez. What to do with him? I am aware of the risk with say Torres/Defoe, but if they come good in gw 30-34, it could make the difference in my mini league.

      Thinking about it too actually.

If there's a positive result in the Utd Arsenal cup game then I'm thinking of doing Tevez to Rooney.

RVP is also an option but I'm not sure if his fitness is worth a gamble gw30.

Defoe could be hitting a pocket of form but he could also just have had a one off this week. West Ham very unpredictable at the moment too so not necessarily a given that Spurs will win.

Also its an early kick off Spurs may still be feeling the effects of their CL exploits.

I think Sir Charles of Adam is the safest transfer this week.

Millionaire Club updated. Teams yet to be deleted.

Nearly lost half the field. 169-170 teams left. 164-5 teams eliminated. With slightly tougher rules alot more would have gone in this tough week. A decent captain choice makes all the difference.

For anyone who wants to know who their rival is in the 1st round there are a few quick steps.

    1) Find out your exact rank by going to the table. If there are 2 teams ranked 113 & your team is the 2nd one then you are actually 114th & so on.

    2) Once you know your number minus it from 513. 513 - 114 = 399

    3) Find the 399th ranked team the same way. That is your 1st round opponent.

    4) Seeds can't do this as the qualifiers are all over the place. Will list the ranks of the 59 qualifiers on my site soon.

Doesn't really make much sense that mate... even better to captaining him if SL bat first, pitch would have deteriorated and Zim would be batting under lights, probably chasing a demoralisingly big total. Malinga would be unplayable in such conditions. But of course, even if SL bowl first he's a good pick.

I do not yet have a team to defeat my foes.

So much talent for me to choose,

Their prowess on the footy field is untested,
will they succeed or just be rested.

I'm fed up with risky defenders, I'm now seriously considering going for an old fashioned cheap-as-chips defence (£5m max, preferably under £4.5m each), and splurging everything up to for the rest of the season. People getting excited about Luiz, but I don't see him a guaranteed starter. Kolarov... who knows what's going on there. Coleman, same. Huth, Stoke are leaky and tough fixtures.

I'm hanging on to Djourou and probably Kelly (depending on fitness), the rest I'm shipping out for cheapo's, whoever are guaranteed starts and have the best fixtures out of them.
