After the feast of yesterday’s eight fixtures we’ve got a relative famine this afternoon as we have just two games to sate our fantasy appetite this Sunday afternoon.

The Dugout Discussion swings open it’s doors once again as the two English sides knocked out of the Europa League in midweek are left to pick themselves back up and dust themselves down, starting with Liverpool at Sunderland.

The News from the Stadium of Light sees Danny Welbeck coming for Steed Malbranque as he makes his first start in over two months following a knee injury. Kenny Dalglish meanwhile gives Andy Carroll his first Premier League start in a Liverpool shirt as he (and Jay Spearing) come into the Liverpool side. The full teams are…

Sunderland XI: Mignolet; Bardsley, Bramble, Mensah, Ferdinand; Sessegnon, Henderson, Muntari, Richardson; Welbeck, Gyan

Liverpool XI: Reina; Carragher, Agger, Skrtel, Johnson; Spearing, Lucas; Kuyt, Meireles, Suarez; Carroll

After Asamoah Gyan and Luis Suarez have had time to think back on their long hot summer together we’ll be capital bound to close out the season as Chelsea host Man City as the two sides scrap for continued points in the fight for the Champions League spaces. With talk that Tevez may very well have undertaken a late fitness test on his groin plenty of managers will be hotly anticipating the results – especially those vicarious enough to hand him their fantasy armband.

The chatroom will be open through all the action as the Dugout Discussion is here to close out the last gameweek of the month.

Andy Leicester won the Premier League. Leicester. Premier League. What is this life? Follow them on Twitter

It's calculated madness. The probability of mancini dropping him after watching the replay - 70%

Probability of Kolarov starting nexy match against Fulham - 30%
If he does start, probability of him being subbed at 59 min -100%

Surely his main positives are that he's on pens, on corners, seems to have a knack of scoring, pretty much guaranteed 90 mins, as well as being favoured by the BP judges. Surely that makes him a good option in FPL even if you think he's crap in real life?

I'm with Sammy on this one. He'd easily score enough from the spilled balls to make up for not taking those free kicks that he NEVER scored and those corners that are headed in every now and then.

        A) Terry and Alex will have to play together the following week against Utd. If Alex doesn't play at Stoke then that partnership won't have been used for 4 months before the Utd game. Too important a game to take a risk like that?

        B) Alex is far more physically imposing than Luiz. Stoke do one thing, and one thing only, and that's pumping the ball into the box. Doesn't exactly play to Luiz's strengths.

tbf Luiz in doesn't strike me as a knee-jerk. Chelsea are looking rock solid at the back again and have some quality fixtres coming up, he's also getting attacking returns.

I'm gonna do it before i can't afford too.

agreed I wanted him before this week but other priorities, and still have. actually went arteta to albrighton but could have afforded djourou to luiz, blimey that looks an awful decision now (with Chelsea DGW coming up)

Spurs 4 points behind City in fourth now but with one game less played. Great result for them, this. It would be a little bit funny if City failed to get the CL spot after having it for all season basically.

I've got one deluded City mate who claims that Messi is coming next year and that they can buy anyone they like. I told him that's absolute Kaka!

I'd love Spurs to get 4th.

Haven't been their biggest fan, but they've been really entertaining in the Champions League and I hope they get it again.

Still their goal difference is basically another point against them so it looks a big ask. Be great if they pull it off though.

Reading all these comments, you just KNOW Kolarov is going to rip it up from now till to the end of the season.

Clean sheets, BPs, 35-yard thunderbolts... it's gonna be fun viewing.

*No, I don't have him. My team's in enough trouble...

Just an awful day for me - the minute Suarez scored it all went wrong as nearest rival captained him!

Is there any possibility that Bugs Suarez won't get all 3 BPs?

Even before his goal I thought Luiz had the 3 BP's nailed on.

    He was awesome today.

Said to my wife that Chelsea spent £50m on a striker and £24m on a defender. They've both joined at the same time and the striker has yet to score. the defender already has 2 goals!

And, yes, Kolarov to Luiz is as good as done for me now. Glad I benched Kolarov this week. Typical of him to go from 6 pts to 0 pts in the space of about 10 2nd half minutes.

My Kolarov owning brethren who played him today have my deepest sympathies.
