Matthew Etherington has sustained a hamstring injury in Stoke’s victory over Wolves tonight which threatens to end his season and rob him of a start in the FA Cup Final.

The former Spurs winger was stretchered from the field at the Britannia after 31 minutes of the 3-0 win after pulling up whilst attempting to beat his man.

Etherington was named in our Scout Pick selection for the gameweek and attracted interest for Stoke’s double fixture with over 75,000 Fanatsy Premier League managers drafting him in. The winger, who has been a reliable contributor of Fantasy returns when fit, will now be a major doubt for the trip to Blackpool this weekend and his season could be in doubt.

Tony Pulis stated post-match that Etherington will undergo a scan tomorrow so we should get a full prognosis in the next 24-hours…

“It would be a massive disappointment if Matty misses the final, but we will know more when he has had the scan…We’ve got 18 days to get him right which means seven or eight days to get it right and then 10 days to get it as strong as possible.”

Hangeland away to Sunderland

OR

Huth away to Blackpool

Keeping Huth would mean I can bench him after this week (for 2 weeks) and then play him against Wigan at home on the last day of the season.

Hangeland won't play again for me this year (apart from this week) so could save me another transfer.

I'll be shipping one of them to Kolarov.

  Tbh, I think it's pointless trading defenders at this stage of the season. You might as well pick the most likely midfielder/forward each gwk from now on and just go for it as there is no long term planning needed. Play 3 defenders and just rotate each week.

  I have a similar problem, normally would say Coleman but doubling up on Chelsea could be an issue, fancy Spurs to get one. I will have to sub one of Terry/Luiz/Huth/R Johnson with Foster in nets. Tough week coming up as people have loaded up on a couple of DGW's.

The city situation i feel is not a difficult one. There are only 3 real options:

1. Hart - no competition safe dgw.
2. Kolarov - richards may be back so no point risking imo;
3. Silva - safe bet pulls the strings;
4. Yaya - attacking mid and the cheaper option - great for dgw.
5. Balotelli - anyone putting this guy in is mad unless your 70 points in arrears.
6. Dzeko - see 5.

      I know there have been issues with kolarov not playing 60mins but on here once 1 person puts in a scout report something may happen people take it as gospel.
      
      Very strange. The scouts on here do a good job but they are far from being always right.

        HAHA mistake! Think i did best in my league that week. Really excited about this 60point lead ive accumilated. Only put 1 dgw player in this week. Those around me had 4 n 5 n now have to make subs to get these pieces of **** out. All very relaxed for this being the business end. Will be my 3rd title in 4 years 🙂 fin 2nd last year :/
