End of Season Awards – Voting Now Open

Sunday drops the curtain on our Fantasy seasons, signalling that itโ€™s time for us to free up the part of our brains dedicated to the fortunes of our squads. Our thoughts and energies can now turn to such pressing matters as DIY, gardening, cleaning the car and spending time with our partners and friends. Alternatively, we could pass the time picking the bones out of the season passed.

Letโ€™s go for option B.

Our end of season coverage kicks-off next week, with plenty of ideas up our sleeve to help you into June and July, when the pre-season friendlies and transfer merry-go-round will have us pondering selections for the 2011-12 shift.

Things start now with our Team of the Season awards โ€“ a process weโ€™re opening up to you guys. Weโ€™re going to be running polls to gather your views on the players that earn acclaim as the leading Fantasy Football figures this season. Just to be clear, youโ€™re voting on those players who had the biggest impact from a Fantasy perspective โ€“ taking their points tallies, price and performances into account. Your votes will help shape our thinking for the Team of the Season awards, with coverage coming your way early next week.

We start proceedings with the voting for the Goalkeeper of the season. Few introductions are needed for the candidates on offer here, so you can get right down to the voting. Youโ€™ll find the poll on the front page above this weekโ€™s Captain Poll. Voting the goalkeeper of the season will close on Thursday morning.

          Yeah I guess FPL wise he is the best, VDS has just been such a hero this season I had to mention him. Hope too many people don't vote for Hart, although he has a lot of points he hasn't really been that good of a keeper imo.

    Foster all day long.

    Valuable lesson learned for me this year. Less transfers and 4 point hits maximum next year. Still need a ton of luck to do well at this though imo

    I voted for Al-Habsi. I had him for one week and he made 13 saves. It doesn't get any better than that.

    Refused to vote for Foster after he caused me so much pain earlier in the season when sitting on my bench.

            Scrap that. I had him for a few weeks early on, but swapped him out for Hart.

            I'm voting for him because even though he's never done much for my team, he's defnitely been best value pts per price wise.

            My main two keepers this season (not at the same time) have been Hart and Cech. But they've regularly been beaten by Foster (just!) by the odd save point. However, losing one or two points to Foster was never enough for me to need to get him in, there was always a much more pressing transfer at the front.

        I would put Coleman in that one too Goose. Sometimes he's come of the bench with double figures. Sometimes i've lovingly started him and he's got nothing. Then i've transferred him out, only to find myself weeks later needing a cheap Def and bringing him back in.

        I've not had Kolarov at all this season. So if there's one player that has defined me, and I will remember the season by. Its young Seamus and his totally random scores.

    Starting an internet business, is there a good site which gives you a list of guidelines or advice as to the key things to keep in mind when constructing the site (SEO etc)? I'm getting someone else to design the site, so I am requesting a quote from them to cover as much as possible.

      I barely looked into the possibility myself last year but any Library or Bookstore should have what you need.

        Great, thanks. Well as I say I won't be developing the site myself, but I have to request a quote to have the site up and running. I'm a real layman though so while I know what SEO is and how important it is, I don't know what UI is.
        Basically I'm looking for just some of the key fundamentals that a site needs to be successful, so I can ensure that the web developer is going to cover all the bases.
