Our end of season awards polls come to an end with the voting in the forwards category. The poll is now live on the frontpage and visitors can now cast two votes for the strikers who had the biggest influence on our Fantasy seasons.

Voting will close on this in a couple of days with our team of the season review articles following very soon.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Analysis of the season. 191 cleanies 😯 That explains why the 3 man defence was more effective:

Thanks Jafalad. The CS stats show once again that to be at the top of the table you also need to be able to keep balls out of your net.

Roy seems to have had a pretty good record with average players over the years to get the best they can give from them. I'd like W.B.A. to do OK again.

Never really rated him but in Woy we trust.

Look what he did to Aaron Hughes. Probably the worlds most average player, isn't he Fulham captain now?

Evening all. Takes a lot longer to catch up on comments when you can't skim past the RMTs....

In case anyone's interested, I was looking at the top scorers from yesterday. These are all the people scoring in double figures. Other than maybe the Anderson bandwagon, not one that would have been a reasonable captain pick.

    Defenders
    - Lescott 15

    Midfielders
    - Tchoyi 20
    - Zenden 13
    - Anderson 13
    - Park 12
    - Downing 11
    - Rose 10
    - Hunt 10

    Forwards
    - Roberts 12
    - Zamora 12
    - Pavlyuchenko 12

Ha ha! The funny thing is that I hardly follow real sport at the moment, much less play it. I have two kids under three, a busy job, and just moved house twice! Fantasy football is great cause I can tinker with it while I'm sitting waiting for my daughter to go asleep or patting my son on his back. Literally the only football I saw all season was two halves of Champions League matches!

Very eloquently put Tom. Sometimes I'm faintly embarrassed to play it, but it's just so brilliantly done. And winning 80 euro paid for my son to go to the GP today with his cold 😉

Thanks! When my ranking was destroyed mid season, I stopped the rot by cutting out hits. Results were so unpredictable. For the second half of the season, the points were there if you chased them. Kuyt, Odemwngie, RVP even Lescott. The trick was to jump on the train and not be too precious about it. Or maybe it was all luck!!

United were on a bad run and Liverpool had taken top spot back the day before. It was advantage Liverpool with anything but a win vs Villa.

United were 2-1 with 10 left and Ronaldo levelled it, but into stoppage time there was no goal. Then up stepped Macheda in the last minute to win it and break united out of their poor run of form and keep them top.

United went on a great run in the next few games, and I would say this was the goal which effectively changed it round and helped them win the league.

And let's not forget this was his first ever senior start for the club, with a finish like that, what a hero!

That sounds alright, although whether he could be played up on his own like Odem has would remain to be seen. But would be good for someone to give him a go.

I reckon Odem could do a good job for anyone in the league - outside top 4 or 5 clubs who wouldn't look at him just because he's not a 'big name'. A long name, but not big

Odem and Tchoyi should provide you with an entertaining season. A bit more solid at the back, which may be down to coaching, and a decent season looks to be on the cards.

I really hope so, would take 17th now though. We'll definitely become more solid at the back after Hodgson rebuilds in the summer, and I expect our home form to be good again so all the signs are already looking good for a good second season. I've already said though I don't think us and Wolves are both going to survive again, so Wolves down this time I'm afraid! 😀

Not really, I remember he played against us about 4 years ago when we got thumped at home by Leicester 4-1. He scored I think and was very dominant that day. Time has gone on though so I don't really know how he has progressed since.

Apparently he has been poor for Ipswich this season but very good for Northern Ireland, and captains them. He can't be much worse than what we have though and with him and Craig Dawson signed at least we have two English centre backs! 🙂

Basically means that Meite is 100% going though....

                    Hehe, I hope so.

Really do think we have a bright future as long as Hodgson stays as manager. I'm sure we will have doubters over the summer when we don't invest much but that is what he does best, gets the most out of the players he has when he can't go out spending loads of money.

Look at how he developed the likes of Zamora, Baird, Hughes, Hangeland at Fulham. Brilliant.

I'd rather Hoolahan. He is basically Norwich's version of Taraabt. On most set pieces I think and second to Holt for penalties I think.

Think Norwich are going to be more gung-ho than QPR next year too.

Depends if he's on set pieces. 15 goals & a similar number of assists isn't to be sniffed at.

Worthy of early consideration for the fifth midfield spot.

Evenin' Guys - Wifey can't understand why I'm feeling a bit low at the moment 'coz she doesn't get how this glorious obsession that is Fantasy Footie completely takes you over. I've tried explaining it but it's no use. I suppose I should try and get on her level, like saying how would she feel if her favourite clothes and shoe shops all suddenly went into liquidation and closed down, so no more dresses and shoes shopping. I've got the blokes equivalent: No more transfers to consider. No more season ticker to scrutinise. No more mini league battles to fight. Roll on July!

Hulse (when he plays I think) and Holt.

Taarabt and Hoolahan are next in line.

Am I gonna be the only one on this site not on the Taarabt-mobile? I'm gonna wait and see with him, think he's gonna go more the way Dorrans than Adam personally.

Being on all set pieces is the swinger for me.

Pens he might not be automatic, someone suggested Hulse, but pretty sure he's taken some this season and he definately takes all others.

If the fixture's aren't too kind on QPR in the beginning then i'll wait it out, and just get him after 5 or 6 games

Plus after u see if he can hack it, right? I honestly don't think he will but I may be proved wrong, I'd rather wait tho.

Why not? People only saying that to be different with no reason to believe he'll be Dorrans Mk II. He won't be as marked as much as everyone thinks, because PL teams will be looking to beat QPR, not sitting back and negating Taarabt. He'll frustrate us, and get some 2 pointers, but he's capable of explosive scoring and is the heartbeat of the team.

I won't be going without him, in fear of missing out on massive scoring.

I don't think QPR will score many goals next season and be more of a solid team to beat at home team personally so won't be touching him to begin with, just out of pure preference.

Not saying I won't be getting him at any stage or that he isn't a good option but if he is 5.5 which he most certainly will be I'd rather go with someone more proven like N'Zogbia or Etherington from the start.

You're right, Norwich will surely score more. But Taarabt should do well.

N'Zogbia will definitely be in my team, 7m I reckon. Who do you think he'll be playing with?

Don't know. I hope he stays with Wigan, wouldn't be surprised to see him move abroad if I'm honest. Think he'll be cheaper than £7m though.

I've always said he could go to a top French team, CL football and what not. Can't see him staying at Wigan though, at all.

Works both ways, people are saying that because he did well in the championship, so did Dorrans and look what happened. He be as marked no, but Savage did a job on him, theirs plenty of mids in the Premiership capable of that too. He's a liability IMO, he lost a couple of times last season when things were going wrong, things will be worse next season and who's to say that side won't come out of him even more?

Savage and about 3 others - Unlikely to happen next season but I take your point.

Thing is, if he influences their games which I imagine he will, then he's going to be picking up the BP's in similar fashion to Adam this season.

One page since 10 past 8 on here :'( Gunna miss this site during the summer. With no world cup and all that. Finished 19k. 55k last year.

Seasons goal was to finish top 25k. Top 20k is a bonus. Next season I want to primarily improve. Then hopefully get into top 15k and top 10k as a bonus.
