A strong run of upcoming fixtures for Arsenal sees Theo Walcott ranked highly on our updated Watchlist.

Having suffered an ankle injury during pre-season, the winger made a tentative beginning to the campaign as Arsene Wenger eased him back into first-team action with a thirty minute sub appearance in the opener at Newcastle. Since returning to full fitness, however, Walcott has been a key figure as the Gunners look to rebuild following a summer of key departures.

His contribution to Arsenal’s Champions League qualifying campaign proved crucial, scoring home and away against Udinese as Wenger’s side secured a place in the group stages at the Italian club’s expense. Walcott also scored in the recent 8-2 humiliation at Old Trafford, meaning he has netted three times in four starts for Arsenal this season. Clearly, he’s a man in form and a look at the next six Gameweeks highlights he also has the fixtures- the ideal Fantasy combination, then.

As highlighted in our recent Watchlist article, Arsenal have the kindest run of upcoming games of any top-flight side, with four of the next six games at the Emirates. With (SWA, bla, BOL, tot, SUN, STK) up next, it’s fair to say there’s a substantial chance of the Gunners scoring in every one of those fixtures and although Robin Van Persie will no doubt be the preferred option by many, Walcott is finally showing the consistency that has previously failed him and made him such a frustrating Fantasy choice.

Priced at 9.0 and owned by just 76K Fantasy managers, he looks like flying under the radar in the meantime, though with Brendan Rodgers’ Swansea arriving at the Emirates this Saturday, Walcott looks in the mood to change all that.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

I seem to have a vague memory of Brunt scoring well FPL wise at home, last season, yet when WBA were on the road, he didn’t do all that well. I maybe imagining things though 🙂

A lot of people are saying that hes the best option in that price range, but if he has lost pens to Odem, than I would think its hard for him to improve on last seasons points total.

I'm not so sure he's lost pens. Odem missed v Man Utd and Brunt seemingly took over and scored 2 v Lpool.

I've just got Walcott too. Swansea are a better side than most think, however if Arsenal score early then it'll be 3 or 4-0. Wouldn't be surprised to see a 0-0 tbh.

Ok, so this is how my squad is looking for GW4.

    Please RMT,

    Given/Vorm
    Ward/Kompany/Bosingwa/De Laet/R.Taylor
    Young/Silva/Arteta/Brunt/Dyer
    RVP/Dzeko/Ruiz

    1.3 in the bank

I’m playing some form but mostly fixtures.

Ya, Rooney is more form than fixture, so thats why I went with Young, it atleast gives me "some" Man U coverage. Walcott is too much of a risk IMO, RVP is the safer option.

Of course. I would take him. You just have to be patient for a couple of weeks. Last year Odem was the perfect third striker for about 15 weeks, and I would guess at about 35% ownership. Big upside price rise potential.

On your team, I suppose it has as much a chance doing well as any other, but I am not fond of Kenny and your Big Four- defender is Boswinga (who you hope is not displaced by Luiz this week or soon). I would keep three tenths to replace him immediately with Kompany if Boswinga doesn't start or you will lose your .2 gain.

I don't know what is special about Jarvis, who is 50/50 to play. If you can squeeze .2 out of him that would be a success. I also am not fond of two mids from the same team because of splitting bonus points. good luck.
          what do you think?

            Yeah i have a plan to do Nasri/Silva-->Mata gw6.
I know that defence is a little weak but Kenny/Vorm rotate perfect and QPR strenghten their defence recently. I can play Krul insted of Kenny but i don't want to double on Newcastle.
Yeah i will have 0,5 in the bank so i can do Bossingwa to Kompany if needed.

    Vorm
De Laet - Gabbidon - Kompany - Enrique
    Silva (c) - Brunt - Lampard
    Bent - Rooney - Suarez

Looks very good. If you take a peek at Arsenal's home results post CC Final, you'll understand why people aren't clamouring for Arsenal coverage. Like Chelsea, I think it could well be an anti-climax, though WCers will see one of Arteta, Walcott and RVP as great options. The cautious ''wait and see policy'' should be excercised with Arsenal. No point in coverage for coverage sake and it's better to be a week late than several weeks too early...

Putting the finishing touches on this wildcard team. Two cheapy defenders to rotate, one big midfielder and a mid price option.
    A) Simpson, Brown, Young and Taarabt
    B) Warnock, Ward, Brunt and Mata

My defense is pretty cheap so I think I'm more tempted by B although I do feel that Taarabt will have some big scores in the next few weeks.

Cahill faces Utd, Arse, and Chels in the next four.

Seems a waste of 5.5 that could be put to use elsewhere/on another defender.

My plan, i think, is to remain unchanged. Hide behind the sofa on Saturday from 3pm till 5pm, emerge, and if RVP blanks get the cigars out and watch Rooney and co. let Bolton have it at 5.30?

Such is the expense of the sought after MFers, anybody thinking "with City's tactical transplant, I could downgrade Kompany to a 4 and then push that cash into mid-"

"Oh" May as well keep the likes of Kompany, because the cash left over should you swap him, is not enough to justify downgrading your defence, such is the gap between the likes of Brunt and Young, for example...

    Hope this makes sense.

Not sure if ManCity defence is worth it even cheapish, as the new attacking line-up seems to change last seasons style

That 2 mil could be better spent imo, then again, I have Baines!!

Yeah, it's tough. That's why I've held back with the WC as teams have only played 3 games (some have only played 2!) so it is difficult to get a gauge. If the past 3 weeks had happened in the middle of the season then we'd all look at it with a much different perspective and a cooler head.

BTW I have Baines, Bos, Cole and K!

Hmm, Im on Moses for sure, and at the moment Warnock, since he is away, but Everton are rubbish-ish

I think Taylor plays over Warnock due to goal threat?

        Silva will get 5, 6, 9, 7, 6, 6, 9
        Nasri will be 10, 2, 3, 14, 0, 1,

Overall I think Silva, but Nasri will be more streaky
