Before all the Rooney vice-captains come into play and we can concentrate on European endeavours for a couple of days we’ve got the Joey Barton of all match-ups.

The prickly character sees us open the Dugout Discussion as manager Neil Warnock hands him the armband against his old side Newcastle – not one to flounce under the radar, clearly. QPR are in fact rocking a whole host of new signings while Alan Pardew recalls Shola Ameobi in place of Peter Lovenkrands. Sides in full are…

QPR XI: Kenny; Young, Gabbidon, Ferdinand, Traore; Barton, Derry, Faurlin, Taarabt, Wright-Phillips; Bothroyd.

Newcastle XI: Krul; Simpson, S. Taylor, Coloccini, R. Taylor; Obertan, Tiote, Cabaye, Gutierrez; Best, Ameobi.

Let us close the gameweek together in the Dugout Discussion and watch the sparks fly.

Sweet mother of the divine this tennis is out of this world.
18min 1 game and it should still be going

Will Nadal comeback from this huge 1 game loss. Potential match decider there

Quite looking forward to the rest of this season cos I'm 100 points behind the leader in my minileague (which I won by 150 pts last year) and 2nd from bottom (20 teams). It will be a good challenge to try and win it whereas last year was a bit boring after about January cruising

Currently on 62 points but I don't think that'll be good enough to win my main H2H's 🙁 Hoping for some Gabbidon bps - didn't see the game but I heard he was solid, and a 0-0 should set up bps for defenders in this new system.

I think that is a strong shout. I remember being baffled when people were banging on about him being vastly overrated last year.

tbh I still think he is a little Modric-esqu in that his fantasy returns nowhere near reflect his influence on the game alot of the time - though he seems to be doing better on that front than last year.

      Just love watching him tbh

Have to say I'm leaning towards Rooney. I reckon Utd will beat Chelsea, and Rooney's just scoring for fun at the moment. Only other viable option for me is Bent, but Newcastle are decent at the back and I'm always reluctant to give Bent/someone not from a top side the armband!

Hard to look past Rooney with his form (and a home game, albeit against Chelsea).

Got a sneaky vibe for Suárez though, he's developing a habit of drawing a couple of blanks between big/big-ish scores, so Spurs might be on the end of a goal + BAPs from him.

Tough week to predo though, a few left-field shouts like Milner/Baines/Jarvis might rinse up...

Programme does nothing. Not that its the worst it just appeals to the viewer who just wants turn on a show for 30min and be given a re hashed version of male tv from last 25 years

All good looking, they all get women, men are all pack like , women are hot and want them etc Cliched nonsense but it gets a big audience and majority it would appear dont want to think / be entertained

24 was awesome! I can't really get into The Wire. I've watched about 7-8 episodes of the first series but nothing that really makes me want to pick up and watch the rest. Apparently it gets good after season 1...

Series 4 is when it becomes outstanding but you really need to see the whole lot. Give it a bit of patience and it will reward.

For comedy...I have to say my favourite has to be the Rise and Fall of Reginald Perrin, from the 1970's. It's just brilliant. Leonard Rossiter was a genius

It does get worse as it goes along, mainly because the plot is always the same. One of the agents is working for the bad guys, so is someone in the white house, Jack does anything he can as long as it isn't follow orders etc etc. But I still love it. Good cliffhangers and lots of things going on. The best thing they did was stop giving Elisha Cuthbert a proper role.

I watched season 1-5 during the easter break at uni last year. Didn't take me long, had forgotten how good they were!

Very easy to do. Classic case of "Oh I'll just watch one more". The cliffhangers are usually that good.

Get watching Atila - the opening of series 7 is awesome....if not a little silly.

Not at all! Was considering bringing him in and giving him the armband if his following 5 fixtures weren't horrific! Could be a great move captaining him, and also a good differential as most people (myself included) will more than likely opt for Rooney as (c).

Anybody's a risk really. At least with Baines, even if Everton keep a CS and he does nothing else then you've done reasonably okay, and I'd fancy Everton to keep a CS against Wigan (especially with Di Santo up top). Throw into that he's on pens and set pieces, gets plenty of assists, and is a bp machine.. I'd advise captaining him if you have him!

I think this is the week to captain a differential actually.

Its unlikely that Rooney and Young are going to put 5 past Chelsea to be fair. They may win but it will be more like a 2-1 than a 5-0.

Man City seem the best bet for captain material. I'd play safe and no Silva if I had him. Can see them beating Fulham by 2 or 3 easily.

Baines could score well but unless you are really chasing down a lead I'd still go for Rooney or Silva if you have them, even if you have Baines too.

I wonder how much of an impact the midweek Euro fixtures will have on the footy this weekend?? Especially for the likes of Stoke (and Fulham/ManCity) who have less experience playing twice a week regularly.

Anyone know the stats on which clubs traditionally do well / don't do well after their Europeam excursions??...

Very happy with tonights result, won me my 4 week steak dinner challenge by 1 point (pre baps but he has nobody). Playing all my away defenders and a recently promoted keeper - I'm a genius I tells yah.
Wait whats that? You captained Carroll, Torres, Suarez and RVP? My genius crown is slipping.

Unveiling the Wildcard team of wildcard teams 😉
Yes it has ferguson, im going to gamble as the midfield options at low levels are terrible , truely terrible. Defence rotates a beaut as does Dyer,Simpson, Ruddy , Vorm , Berra.

    Vorm Ruddy
    Berra Warnock Kompany Bosingwa Simpson
    Silva Mata Walcott Dyer Ferguson
    Dzeko Rooney Suarez

    Lets the points roll in*

    *This may not occur.

        No! 😀

Ferguson is dead rubber. Will have a free transfer each week if injuries occur. There is nobody worth it above his level. Everyone is a risk so im backning the big guys

Reo coker etc at 4.5mil will get 1-2 points each week and arent worth it if ever needed.

Suarez -> Adebayor gives you 1.7 right?
That is enough to get Ferguson or even upgrade Dyer.

Big dawg Ade is a big gun in my opinion. As much as i hate Tottenham, you can't knock their attacking style of play, Modric will create chances.

Im pretty sure Suarez hasn't scored over two goals in a match? Just don't blame me if he goes mental soon 😉

Why would you consider getting Ferguson, when there are several 4.5m and less options who actually play. It's daft going with a squad of 14.

            Multiple.
            1. I cant find 0.5 anywhere from big guys or others. They all warrant inclusion.
            2. I think all the options are dyer 😉 and offer no more than yellow card 1 pointer rotting on the bench.
            3. The odds of an injury are low (would need two 2geter) enough but if they do occur it means i can downgrade that player said player and upgrade Ferguson if needs be
            4. Having watched the weeks so far i see no good options who will consistently return in the 4.5 - about 9 mil range. Its a horrible inconsistent mire and its better to upgrade to the big boys.

In your mind which one of Simpson/Berra is more likely to play?

If its Simpson I would probably pick Saylor and Gabbidon.

Minor point, thats a high risk strategy but it could work out.

SWP was impressive, seems to have a free role.

Bappable players include: Steve Taylor, Coloccini, Danny Simpson for Newcastle, SWP, Taarabt for QPR.

QPR the better team by far, poor performance by the Toon but thankfully Bothroyd couldnt hit a cows arse with a banjo.

SWP will not get any bps, in fact it wouldn't surprise me if he got negative PPI.

There will probably be a number of ties, so I'd expect 4 or 5 bonus awards.

i'm devestated s.taylor's shot on target didn't register, could be costly for him on the old baps. basically the reason kenny had the ball in his hands when taylor comically took him down was because 2 seconds earlier taylor had headed the ball at goal.
