Peter Odemwingie needed less than three minutes to remind Fantasy managers of his potential last weekend. West Brom’s 1-0 win at Norwich came courtesy of their talismanic Nigerian, as he nipped in between Ritchie De Laet and Declan Rudd to grab the early goal and help the Baggies to their first win of the season.

Odemwingie’s match-winner and overall attacking performance didn’t go unnoticed by the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) bonus judges either; 3 bonus followed, and was reminiscent of his performances last season, where he picked up 28 Bonus Points over thirty-two appearances.

Odemwingie also scored 15 goals and grabbed 9 assists in his debut campaign, cementing his position as a near must-have forward last time round- particularly with a 2010/11 price tag of 5.0. This season, he started at 7.5 but a lack of game time due to an ankle injury has seen a slight drop to 7.4 and, if he can come close to replicating his returns, still looks like a decent-priced option.

Up until last Sunday, Odemwingie had played just fifteen minutes, coming on as a sub in the 2-1 defeat at Chelsea, with Shane Long grabbing the headlines after consecutive goals against Man United and Chelsea. Back now and fully recovered, he’s made an instant impact and looks likely to kick on with a favourable run of fixtures on the horizon.

West Brom square up to (swa, FUL, sun, WOL, avl, LIV) over the next six Gameweeks and with Odemwingie looking bang in form, this bodes well for the Baggies as Roy Hodgson looks to navigate their climb up the table after a poor start to the season.

I'm late with my selection this week, any help appreciated!

I’m aware I need to make some changes, maybe 2, particularly in midfield/attack. Could someone have a look and let me know what my priorities should be? I’m thinking Andy Johnson and Moses need to go but they don’t free up much cash (I have £0M in bank), maybe I should use Suarez as a makeweight?

    Squad:

Given, Vorm Mertesacker, Clichy, Bosingwa, Simpson, Brown, Silva, Young, Brunt, Mata, Moses Bent, Suarez, A Johnson

No changes need imo. Play 3-5-2
Or do Moses to someone 5 or less

Moses is fine, AJ may be rotated out
Clichy is a rotation risk as well.

My priorities would be AJ and Clichy - this doesn't give you much in the way of options though.

AJ -> Graham (SWA) and Clichy -> Kompany would be my choice for you.

Desperately need help. In a quandry.

    Given Ruddy
    Bos Senderos K Brown Simps
    Anderson Silva Cahill Moses Surman
    Suarez Rooney Aguero

2 free trannies. No cash, which is part of the problem. Thinking Senderos to Ward and Brown to N Taylor? Don't want to get rid of anyone, but don't want to waste the transfer...

    Surman is like Ferguson, now.

Got to love free trannies, paying for it feels like cheating...

I would use one of your transfers, but there isn't anything you *need* to do.

Anderson -> Petrov may be an idea, neither has great fixtures, but you could use the extra 0.4 elsewhere later. An alternative could be Suarez -> Adebayor or Sturridge depending on your desire to upgrade Surman (and by how much).

    RVP (c), Rooney, Adebayor

Quite like it, although not sold on Taarabt. I'd seriously consider bringing in Walters for him (or Sess if you believe he'll eventually come right, I don't)

Brunt will either play the whole game (or great portion of it), or not at all so just be sure of your subs (I've also got Dyer as first sub).

As I said minor niggle, qould just increase the functionality of the site slightly I feel. 15 seconds was clicking the link loading the link and then pressing back to reload the FFS site.
Could just right click and open in new tab but if it did that anyway as I said slight improvement in functionality hence slight niggle.

Seemingly fairly thick in general, listened to it for about half an hour and thought it was dire. Although the other chap on it (not fatman parry) seems to know his stuff.

Brunt 50/50 and I think Odem and SWP could be good investments. You disagree?

Here's one for you (off topic).

My wife is expecting our third child. When she got pregnant for the first time her due date was 6th Feb. (My birthday is 8th Feb.)

I e mailed PaddyPower for odds on three babies all born on my birthday. Eventually they got back to me and said 10,000 to 1.

The actual odds are, wait for it, 49,027,896 to 1.

Anyway I put 10 euro on at 10,000 to 1.

First baby born on my birthday...result!!!

Second baby born in November...ho hum.

Third baby due date? You guessed it...my birthday!

So bleedin' close...I made the mistake of telling her as well.
