The last-minute August transfer window move to QPR seems to have offered Shaun Wright-Phillips a new lease of life. The winger cut a forlorn figure on the periphery of Roberto Mancini’s title-challenging Man City but, plucked from his Etihad Stadium nightmare by Neil Warnock, Wright-Phillips has been handed the chance to resurrect his career. Under the guidance of a manager with complete faith in his abilities, he is already making an impact at Loftus Road.

I'm considering Odemwingie as a differential captain over Aguerro - someone talk me out of it
Open Controls-
Owning him is your "differential".
I'd captain one of the more obvious candidates, for sure. Maybe give him the VC's "just in case".Open Controls
-
-
I'd keep also. But man yhave lost their faith. This is good, when he scores a 20pointer in the coming weeks.
Open Controls -
I'm keeping. Got enough transfers to make at the moment, and if you've got him you may as well give him a couple more weeks to pay you back.
Open Controls-
Cheers for help...... need to replace Bent but who with i have 10.7 to spend???? pluse any tips for this week need to boost my points.
Open Controls-
Well Adebayor is obviously popular, but I'm waiting myself. I'm also dropping Bent, but the replacement will depend on how I get Chelsea in, as per discussion below.

got two free transfers. really dont know what to do. keeping rvp for sure. maybe barkley out thats it? but theres no one for 5.0
Given | Vorm
Kompany | Boswingwa | De Leat | Simpson | Ward
Young | Barkley | Silva | Brunt | Dyer
Adebayor | Rooney | RVPOpen Controls-
With a very similar team, I have done
Brunt -> Barton and DeLaet -> Newcastle def (in my case it was Simpson, I had STaylor before).
You will bench Ward, Barkley, Dyer and Vorm.
If you wish to sell Barkley, perhaps you can consider Faurlin (5.0, QPR) or Bannan (5.0, AVL) but then Brunt is a better option to play.Open Controls -
Barkley to Tiote or Johnson (Norwich)?
Open Controls -
Bannan
Open Controls
-
-
For a 4 point hit, Baines to:
a. Bosingwa
b. P.Jones
c. Kompany.
This is so I can afford Rooney next week.
My opponent in h2h this week and next week both have kompany, but the latter also has bosingwa.
Bosingwa seems to have the easier teams these couple of weeks.Open Controls-
A.
Jones looks great but is still too much of a rotation risk for the money, and if you haven't got City defensive cover you may as well pass for now, until they get back to their clean sheet ways.
Bosingwa looks good, and if you're gonna get him this is a good week to do it, especially if you're justifying a hit.Open Controls

Im captaining Suarez, just to rub it in to all of you bastards that damaged my team value!!!

Hello? And just where do you think you have been Doosra?
I've been worried sick. There were 2 KLAXON opportunities that had gone amiss... I thought you must have been knocked down in the road or something terrible had happened.Open Controls

Just wondering.
What are you people that transferred Dzeko > Aguero going to do next week when Dzeko gets a brace and Aguero is rested? 🙂Open Controls-
Well, I don't know what they will do - but I shall dance a jig, if that happens! 🙂
Open Controls -
This will happen all season long, transfers in and out depending on which striker scores more that gameweek.

So, I want Chelsea coverage for this week. Seriously thinking about Torres (3.4% ownership!!). Mata may be the better pick, but I'd have to make 3 transfers so would mean a hit, whereas Torres I could do for free. And I know he's a laughing stock, but he was attacking against United and Mata has only scored once.
So is Mata worth taking a hit over a free Torres, and saving £1m?Open Controls-
Sturridge?
Open Controls-
Hey Merry. I love the idea, but there are still too many changes going on in the Chelsea starting XI, while AVB tries to make it work. Especially as Drogs has been out during this recent spell when Sturridge has shone. So I'd be too nervous about him missing out on too many games.
Open Controls-
True. My father-in-law is currently shitting bricks, having already transferred him in. Every time I whisper "Drogba", he jumps a mile! 😆
Open Controls-
He he. Yeah will be good when the team settles down a bit. Which will probably only happen when they (or Torres) starts consistently scoring.
Open Controls
-
-
-
-
Torres - disillutioned, out of sorts, head on the round way around and knows that he is on u tube looking like a prize prick.
Sturridge - hungry like the wolf.
Does that give you another option in supporting Mata up top??Open Controls-
No, but I don't half fancy listening to Duran Duran right now.
Open Controls-
😀 lmao

Have to disagree there mate, torres is returning to old form, u not see the man u game? i'm even captainig him this weekend 🙂

Stats since joining Chelsea;
Juan Mata - 2 goals in 4 games. Goals per game = 0.5
Fernando Torres - 2 goals in 24 games. Goals per game = 0.08
I know stats aren't everything in football, but in FPL they areOpen Controls-
Hmm. These are good stats.
However..... for the last game against United, Torres had an overall attacking index of 70, versus Mata's 15. But tough call.Open Controls
-
-
Horay!! someone thinking of joining the captain torres boat where ye shall find silver and gold!!
Mata also worth having, torres is having my armband though this weekend matey, its a tough choice, but i'd go torres, it will pay off trust me, he is returning to old form, i think now he's in a who gives a f*ck' kind of mindset, and just pulling out what he knows he can do, and that is score goals, and assist, he's gonan wipe the floor with swansea this weekend 🙂Open Controls

REPOST:
Possible wildcard team, make sure your RMTs are harsh:
Ruddy – Vorm
Naylor – Bosingwa – Simpson – Gabbidon – Barnett
Arteta – Mata – Silva – Nani – Dyer
Rooney – Aguero – Best
Are the “big 6″ in the midfield and upfront overkill (Arteta, Mata, Silva, Nani, Rooney, Aguero)? Do I need to downgrade somewhere and improve keepers/backs?
Cheers guysOpen Controls-
Wow, impressive to get those 6 in. Not overkill, go for it.
S Taylor is safer long term than N Taylor. Didn't Gabbidon have an injury?
Other than that great.Open Controls-
Already have Simpson and I can't afford S.Taylor. Also Gabbidon can ride the pine until he's fit which should be next week if not this week.
Open Controls-
Ah yeah missed Simpson. Looking good then, I'm jealous.
One other thought: if you could find 0.5, you could get Di Santo instead of Best. May be a better mid-term choice.Open Controls
-
-
-
I like this approach. I have Kompany and Bosingwa but have been thinking of going Kompany to Brown to upgrade my midfield. Every team is conceding at the minute so I reckon it's not worth spending big on defenders. I'm not keen on your keepers though. Vorm is good at home but not on the road and I can't say I'd be happy playing Ruddy.
Open Controls-
Nice team

Afternoon lads
Thoughts on my gw 6 team. Already used free trade
Given
Kompany. Enrique. Simpson
Brunt. Moses. Silva. Young
Suarez. Rooney.(c) adebayor
Subs. Dyer. Jags. Rjohnson
Look ok??Open Controls-
Anyone?
Open Controls -
Honestly do not see why a lot of people have Enrique. Sure he's a great player, but until Liverpool sort themselves out I don't think having him will be beneficial to say the least.
Open Controls-
Had him since gw 1. Don't see the point getting rid as he is not a main concern at the moment. Has a good fixture this week. May downgrade at some point to improve midfield
Open Controls
-
-
sooner rather than later get rid of jags and r johnson (dnt take hits though)
Open Controls-
Cheers big oak. Have no Chelsea coverage this gw which is a worry
Open Controls

Goodbye RVP.
You couldnt score vs Swansea or the worst team in the league, so hello Mr Aguero!Open Controls -
-
-
he was totally convincing the couple of appearances he made, cnt see why he might be dropped
Open Controls
-
-
Hmmm. Ben Arfa, Ramsey or Cabaye for the last place in my wildcard team...
Ben Arfa is the most promising, Ramsey has excellent fixtures in (arguably) a better team. Cabaye is on set pieces and has been unlucky not to score.
Blueerrgh.Open Controls-
Cabaye I don't rate as a fantasy option.
You're on wildcard atm? Would probably play it safe then with Ramsey, HBA might be on the bench for a couple of weeks.Open Controls -
out of interest have you put Jones in your defence?
Open Controls-
-
Will he play RB over Smalling when Vidic is back?
Open Controls
-
-
-
-
-
Walters to solve your problem?
Open Controls-
Losing potential with Stokes added strike options.
Open Controls
-
-
Safe choice = Cabaye (possibly on penalties).
Ramsey - could be dropped,
HBA - Did he get 3 games in a row in the PL ever?Open Controls-
bit harsh on HBA. not his fault he had his leg snapped in his 3rd start
Open Controls
-
-
Have you already got the subject of this article? Cos I'd get him above any of your options currently. maybe HBA when he is fully match fit
Open Controls-
I already have SWP yeah. Going with a balanced midfield of two pricey, 2 cheapie. Silva Mata Swp + ?
Open Controls-
Take that means Rooney will be your only United attacking cover? I wouldn't be happy without having one of Young or Nani too. Think I'd have one of them over Mata, but maybe not over Silva.
Open Controls
-
-

Wilshere is coming back, which could hurt Ramsey.
Open Controls-
Ramsey has not been overly offensive, not half enough for my liking. I got him in start of the season due to this:

Having a similar HBA vs Cabaye dilemma. HBA will be the significantly better FPL player imo but maybe not this week. Question is would you rather trade off a slightly less good week for overall better returns. I think it will be hard to find a time when you don't have more pressing concerns than Cabaye > HBA.
Open Controls -
Cabaye will be on penalties if Shola isn't on the pitch. Which he won't be.
Shola > Cabaye > Ba > Lovenkrands is the order.
I've gone for Cabaye, although he will eventually turn into Ben Arfa or possibly Marveaux for a differential, but not for a few weeks at least.Open Controls
-
-
I like this article because it validates my decision to get SWP in. Current team:
Krul
Bos Komps Warnock Simmo (Ward)
Silva SWP Brunt (Dyer Barkley)
RVP Rooney Aguero
Really could do with a decent week please.Open Controls-
Jesus thats like an hourglass team.
Open Controls-
It's not the most balanced team, no. RVP will probably go for Ade soon and shift money into midfield.
Open Controls

Gasperini to take over at Arsenal I reckon.
Inter never learn.Open Controls-
Gasperini is a great manager though, I think it's like Roy at Liverpool over again.
Open Controls-
Hmmmm.....guiding Genoa to 8th place one year does not a grat manager make...
Happy with Lil Mickey's brace last night Leysh?Open Controls-
To be fair, he took them from Serie B to European Football within a few years.
Haha, the first goal was funny, it just rolled in but the second goal was great. It's a shame he's always on the bench, I think he could still play regularly at a mid table club.Open Controls -

Would appreciate a little advice on the following:
Given (Vorm)
Bosingwa Kompany Simpson (Brown)(Senderos)
Silva Brunt Moses N'Zogbia (Dyer)
Suarez RvP Rooney
I have two free transfers and 0.4M in the bank.
Which of the following should I do:
A) N'Zobgia to SWP/Ramsey/Cabeye or Ben Arfa?
And save the transfer??
or
B) N'Zogbia to SWP or Ramsey
And Moses to Ben Arfa??Open Controls -

Worth transferring out Walcott to Mata for a 4 point hit this week?
Open Controls -
All my players at home this week apart from Rooney and Rangel.
I best have a good week.Open Controls-
All mine at home except Young!
Might even break the 1m mark!! LolOpen Controls -
This is the case for me virtually every week, only Petrov and Rooney away from home this week and the rest all with easy home fixtures. Never ever works out though. 👿
Open Controls-
agree
Open Controls

Week 2 I had all 11 at home, and with nice home fixtures too, not tough ones. 39 points, average was 41. ðŸ™

I'm averaging 8.8 home players each week, and I'm on 247 points, with a ranking of 850k. Unbelievable.

Was planning to wildcard in a few weeks, now I've just realized basically my whole proposed team has risen in price. Reeeeeally should've done it Saturday.
Open Controls-
But, you'll want a different team anyway in a few weeks. A few short weeks ago, everyone's (WC) team included Moses, Sessegnon, NZogbia, Bent, Suarez, Kompany, Baines / A.Cole, etc
I don't see many WC teams including many of these now.
It basically changes on about a 2 week cycle at this stage of the season!Open Controls -
Players will always rise in price. Wait for the next international gameweek.
Open Controls
-
WTF NOOOO I ACCIDENTALLY CLICKED 'CONFIRM TRANSFERS' INSTEAD OF 'PLAY WILDCARD', M -32 POINTS D: FML!
Open Controls -
Anyone have any info about why Super Wes Hoolahan went off against Bolton? Some places are saying it was cramp, others saying he was injured... Looks like he's going down in price again some time soon, so getting rid may be the most sensible move, despite his good fixture to come.
Also, how sure are we that he'll take penalties if Holt isn't playing?Open Controls-
Bring Watson instead of him. Penalty taker with great fixtures mid term. Norwich players don't have fantasy value ATM. I think that one of the chaps said that after Holt, B. Johnson is the taker. Not my words so I wouldn't count on it.
Open Controls

Afternoon. 2 free transfers. £1m in bank
Given, Vorm
Smalling, Taylor R, Jose Enrique, Bosingwa, De Laet
Silva, Jarvis, Mata, Dyer, Taarabt
Dzeko, Rooney, Suarez
Been thinking a few things really...
a) Smalling, Jarvis > Brown, Arteta
b) Jarvis > Cababye/Ben Arfa(if i get any news) then use two transfers following week
Any ideas guys?Open Controls -
WC team, thoughts?
Krul Vorm
Bosingwa Enrique Jones Simpson Gabbidon
Silva Mata SWP Ben Arfa Dyer
Suarez Rooney Aguero
Gone with a different approach to most, I don't think the cheap defenders will keep it up to be honest.
Taking a punt on HBA, not expecting much this week but don't feel there are any better in his range.
SWP, Ben Arfa, Simpson and Gabbidon will rotate on fixtures for the last 2 spots each week.Open Controls -
So so glad people are still going against torres, im gonna be one of those 3.4% reaping the rewards this weekend, points are-a-coming 🙂
Open Controls-
Does your confidence extend to handing him the garter the gw??
Open Controls-
He's got the armband for me this weekend mate. Trusted my gut instincts all season last year and it paid off, haven't done it once this season, and as now i'm a fare few points behind my rivals in my mini-league through following 'safe' options which have fell through.
I am now paving my own way through it. Torres is going to score a couple this weekend, it's as simple as that imo as it stands, he looked very sharp at old trafford, people just tend to focus on the negative miss instead of the positives as a whole 🙂Open Controls
-
-
I might do the craziest transfer ever: Rooney out - Torres in. I believe he will outscore Rooney in the next 4. But I am huge Chelsea fan on the other hand 😉
Open Controls-
TWO WORDS - 'DO IT'.....i'm not just saying that to get people on my side or to feel comfort in knowing that someone else has him or is getting him, it's just pure sense to have him as he's returning to form, and he's gonna knock a few past swansea. Like i say above, i'm just sooo glad people are overlooking it lol, gonna punch themselves after the weekend is over 🙂
Open Controls
-
-
I'd love to have Torres again this week but there's just no room for him in my team.
Open Controls -
Sounds familiar... Oh yes, that was what I said a few weeks back when he had a game in which he looked "back to his old self". Then he got me 1x2=2 points.
Please, captain him with pleasure!Open Controls -
Having had my fingers burnt by Captain Torres this season I would advise against it, but having been in a position to consider the reasons for that failure it occured to me watching the game on Sunday that he tends to perform better away from Stamford Bridge.

I plan to bring in Baines after Everton's tough run of fixtures for long-term. So it comes down to:
Baines Vs Kompany/Bosingwa + 2.0 mil
Questions:
1. Baines scored 5 goals with 11 assists last season. Will he better that?
2. Will Everton manage as many clean sheets as it did last season(9)?Open Controls -
RMT please. 1 FT 1 WC 0.1 Bank. Be brutal, any comments appreciated.
Given (QPR)
Brown (NOR) Collins (QPR) Simpson (BLA) Baines (MCI)
Sess (NOR) Sinclair (CHE) Mata (SWA)
Dzeko (EVE) RVP (BOL) Roon (STO)
Subs – Vorm (CHE) Moses (TOT) Eagles (ARS) De Laet (SUN)
To Baines or Not to Baines, that is the question. Thinking of bringing in Enrique. Fair?Open Controls-

A) Anderson - Mata
B) Dzeko - Aguero

A...
Open Controls

Cant udnerstand why people are selling Dzeko.
He has scored or assisted in every PL game he has played thus far. And before anyone says he is a rotation risk:
1. Most strikers will be rested at some stage
2. He was rested once following 2 international games. Nothing suggests he will be rested too oftenOpen Controls-
Because; although a person is smart "people" are stupid...

I hope Torres spent a little time on YouTube after his miss on Sunday...there are some really shocking ones out there...Just seen the Kenny miss from 79/80 and some others too...with the "quality" out there I'd rank Torres in the teens for his one...Anyone venture onto youtube for a good laugh? I cringed with every effort...haha, classic!
