Roberto Mancini has tonight stated that he wants Carlos Tevez “out of the club†after the Argentinian striker refused to play a part from the bench in City’s Champions League tie in Munich.

In a story that will likely run and run over the coming days, the Italian has tonight made a damning statement that appears to break Tevez’ ties with the club once and for all.

“If I have my way he will be out of the club. He’s finished with me…For me it’s a bad situation. In a game like this it’s important for a player to help the team. This is impossible.”

Tevez appeared to be openly objecting to Mancini on the bench in the second-half; the City boss later revealing that he had intended on introducing the striker in an attempt to recover tonight’s 2-0 defeat to an impressive Bayern outfit.

“He refused to come on the pitch. What I said to Carlos is between me, him and the team…I am really disappointed because it is Carlos…We will speak about this with the chairman in the next few days.”

Developments will undoubtedly unfold over the rest of the week, but tonight’s events and particularly Mancini’s comments, will now surely bring the Tevez situation to a head following a turbulent spell at the club.

“If we want to improve as team Carlos can’t play with us. With me, he is finished.”

For Fantasy managers, should Tevez be frozen out at City, it will certainly reduce the uncertainty surrounding the rotation of Mancini’s strikers – presumably cementing Sergio Aguero’s starting role further.

Certainly Aguero’s start for Saturday’s trip to Blackburn looks assured after Mancini also moved to punish Edin Dzeko’s petulance following his substitution in tonight’s game. Dzeko was replaced on 55 minutes by Nigel De Jong, reacting angrily to the decision from his manager. Mancini has stated post-match that the Bosnian striker will now be benched on Saturday as a result.

“Next time he will stay on the bench with me.”

This will come as another blow for Dzeko’s Fantasy owners who have suffered nothing but uncertainty since his four goal spree at White Hart Lane. Mancini will presumably now turn to Mario Balotelli for the Ewood Park trip – a player who has himself courted controversy during his City career.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

              Dzeko out for Adebayor on Sunday to make 0.1m profit before he fell any more.

              If I need to make any further transfers this week then I'll probably play my WC. I don't mind the odd 4 point hit, but 8 points is pushing it. In this case, the three players have a very good chance of making up that hit this week alone.

        Kompany, Bosingwa, Saylor, Ward, N. Taylor
        Young, Silva, Walcott, Taarabt, Anderson
        Adebayor, Bendtner & Dzeko
        £1.7m in the bank

        I'd have agreed on Ramires before the season but this year he has been making a lot more fwd runs. Makes me think that's AVB's style of play doing it rather than a flash in the pan (though his ability to finish may be)

          i like your midfield but lacking up front - no Aguero or Rooney (I know he's out for min. 1 GW). Maybe downgrade Walcott for Arteta if you want Arsenal coverage and downgrade Anderson to free up funds -Dzeko a doubt for the weekend after tonights falling out with Mancini as well.

    Really torn guys. Team linked if you are willing and generous enough to take a look and offer an opinion

    Already done Dzeko to Adebayor with first of 2 free transfers

    Now, would you recommend:

    A. Young to Nani only
    B. Rooney to sub 8.6 (balotelli, agbonlahor, Welbeck) and Barton to Nani, giving me Young and Nani for the Norwich game but a 4 point hit
    C. Rooney to Aguero only.

    Many thanks

    hey guys, after seeing all this on dzeko and tevez on top of rooney potentially being out i feel like now is a good time for my wildcard. this is what im thinking (i want to keep my defence the same):

    Suarez Rooney Dzeko

    to

    Dyer Moses Ramires Nani Bale/Modric

    Suarez RVP Auguero

    Do 8 point hits every pay off? 🙂

    Did Dzeko OUT for Adebayor on Sunday to make 0.1m profit, then tonight Rooney + Petrov OUT to finance Nani(c) + Balotelli.

    I just can't see Rooney playing against Norwich with Hernandez and Wellbeck available and the England game to follow, so needed Nani for United coverage. I think I've just about justified it to myself (if there's any injury news later in the week, then I can push the button on my WC).

      Agueros position has now improved , very annoying as i dont have him. He is now much less likely to be rotated. On the other hand there could be unrest at the club which could lead to some poor performances

      If it's the same as the FPL, activating your wildcard now should make all of your previous transfers cost nothing.

      as you can now only make transfers for matchday 3 activating your 'wayne'card will probably activate it for matchday 3 and not cancel your 20 point loss out - i think

        That's true. I've actually got 4 transfers which I've got in mind and I'm trying to work out which order I should do them in. It's:
        Baines->Bosingwa
        Rooney->Suarez
        Dzeko->Aguero
        Walcott->Nani

        I'm trying to figure out when I should do each transfer, hence why I'm trying to get Rooney out.

        I've examined it over a longer period than just this week, Goose, and think it's worth the risk -

        Norwich(H) - No need to risk him with Hernandez and Wellbeck available.
        England duty
        Liverpool(A)
        Man City(H)
        Everton(A)

        I sold him for 12.2m. He could well be that price by the time I want him back. Of course it's a gamble, but not an unreasonable one.

    1) Dzeko -> Agbonlahor for no hits

      I have the same forward line up as you, and I might wait it out for a bit just to see whether Rooney is going to play or not.. don't see him going down from the sell price of 12.2 for now.

      Depends on whether you want rooney for the fixtures after the international break, im thinking about changing him for RVP due to easier fixtures either this week or next.

      Think you should use number 1 for now, and then change it around during international week.
