Roberto Mancini has tonight stated that he wants Carlos Tevez “out of the club” after the Argentinian striker refused to play a part from the bench in City’s Champions League tie in Munich.

In a story that will likely run and run over the coming days, the Italian has tonight made a damning statement that appears to break Tevez’ ties with the club once and for all.

“If I have my way he will be out of the club. He’s finished with me…For me it’s a bad situation. In a game like this it’s important for a player to help the team. This is impossible.”

Tevez appeared to be openly objecting to Mancini on the bench in the second-half; the City boss later revealing that he had intended on introducing the striker in an attempt to recover tonight’s 2-0 defeat to an impressive Bayern outfit.

“He refused to come on the pitch. What I said to Carlos is between me, him and the team…I am really disappointed because it is Carlos…We will speak about this with the chairman in the next few days.”

Developments will undoubtedly unfold over the rest of the week, but tonight’s events and particularly Mancini’s comments, will now surely bring the Tevez situation to a head following a turbulent spell at the club.

“If we want to improve as team Carlos can’t play with us. With me, he is finished.”

For Fantasy managers, should Tevez be frozen out at City, it will certainly reduce the uncertainty surrounding the rotation of Mancini’s strikers – presumably cementing Sergio Aguero’s starting role further.

Certainly Aguero’s start for Saturday’s trip to Blackburn looks assured after Mancini also moved to punish Edin Dzeko’s petulance following his substitution in tonight’s game. Dzeko was replaced on 55 minutes by Nigel De Jong, reacting angrily to the decision from his manager. Mancini has stated post-match that the Bosnian striker will now be benched on Saturday as a result.

“Next time he will stay on the bench with me.”

This will come as another blow for Dzeko’s Fantasy owners who have suffered nothing but uncertainty since his four goal spree at White Hart Lane. Mancini will presumably now turn to Mario Balotelli for the Ewood Park trip – a player who has himself courted controversy during his City career.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Thinking just Dzeko -> Adebayor is the best move this week. Anyone disagree?

Nope, no hit. The WC means you get all free transfers for that gameweek. Also, for non-WC weeks, the points hit is not applied until the end of the game week.

    Spot on.

On Rooney, no one apart from the club know whether he is going to play so everyone is just guessing. It strikes me as though perhaps a home game against norwich isn't exactly going to be the most difficult of games and if he isnt 100% it might not be worth the risk. when you have 5 quality strikers you don't need to force a player back. Saying that, it's not a long term thing and if he doesnt play it will surely just be the one game.

Is Rooney to Van Persie and Young to Nani too much of a sideways move?

Dont see the point in changing Young to Nani, depending on what day it is Young can out do Nani in points. He scored tonight...

Ok, but what about the Rooney transfer? I don't want to wait beacuse I know RVP will probably rise in that time

Im waiting about for a bit to here some more Rooney news, but RVP isn't set to rise tonight. But he will do at some point this week. It is a sensible transfer but it might be a bit rough at the Lane.

thinking of trading mata to nani for a hit. want them both but at this point think nani price rises will make him that more difficult to acquire. Wise, unwise?

Wise. Don't see Mata outscoring Nani for this weekend, and thin he is a must have in any team at the moment (unless you already have young).

i dont have young or any other man u front player. chelsea have a decent run of fixtures ahead and that is the only thing holding me. This is a trade for the long run so the hit means nothing.

Ahhh true, but personally I believe Nani will outscore Mata even with the difficult games man united have coming up, just because of the man u attacking force.

Mata just hasn't got the potential that his price shows. More will come from Ramires for Chelsea. In my opinion.

Granville.. Would you rather play Diawara(H)v Dortmund or
    Victor Ruiz(H)v Chelsea..

Or both of them and take out Bastos(4points)

    Thanks..

Just found out about all this city business! Madness. I'm a big fan of Mancini and he doesn't seem to have a problem stamping his foot down so could get interesting.

On the Dzeko front, I almost swapped Rooney for Aguero last night, now I can swap Dzeko for Aguero in a couple of days. Saves me a transfer in the long run.

Also lol at Man City fans talking about how much the club has done for Tevez. Massively let them down tonight but I doubt very much City would have even been playing CL football tonight if it weren't for him!

Was planning to sit on dzeko. But what do you reckon about going dzeko to adebeyor. Giving me a front three of Suarez - Abo - Ade

Can't get aguero in this week without taking a 4 point hit. My team's currently:
        Vorm - Given
Bosingwa - Kompany - Enrique (Simpson, Brown)
Nani - Silva - Mata - Jarvis (Moses)
        Suarez - Abo - Dzeko
Can you see a way to fit him in?

Not really, I guess if you have Silva it;s less pressing. I'm without either so Aguero is my number one priority at the moment.
