Okay…you might have noticed – things have changed around here.

After months and months of time, money, sweat and tears – we thought we’d roll out the new layout just to see if things held together. It’s a gamble – it may disappear before your very eyes and revert back to the old Scout. Then again, it might be here to stay.

We hope that all goes smoothly – the that the new layout settles on our servers and will provide the basis for a new era for the site. Let’s see how we go.

There is more to do (we know the Watchlist is incomplete and the poll is old). More features to roll out – particularly within the comments code. For now, we’re taking baby steps – although this is a pretty big first stride.

So then, if you stayed with us long enough to reach this ungodly hour, you get to the see the new look on the live servers – a proper first.

We hope you like.

Ps: apologies for any lost comments from the last couple of hours – needs must I’m afraid.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I really like that too, it's already come in useful when making suggestions - you don't have to go back to the home page to check rotations etc.

Yeah they're taking the full F1 coverage from next season. BBC will only show half the races live, the other half will be highlights. It's a disgrace. It would cost me an extra €35 a month if I was to get Sky.

Be nice if it brought the sport packages down a few quid though!... Not that that's likely. Although I do feel that they will need to do something positive to combat the amount of people who can just sit and stream live games to their laptops. I know this is abit off topic, my apologies.

At the end of the day, I'll be more disappointed when the BBC eventually lose rights to MOTD.

Interesting Hybrid, Would be a great idea if it gave a greater choice of suppliers and at more competitive prices (Cheaper 🙂 ). I have a feeling Sky and the FA will find some sneaky way round it so they can still charge fortunes.

Of course they will, even the article hints at the fact that they would have contingency plans. What annoys me is it's clear people are finding it hard to pay bills these days, yet they expect us to pay an extra €35 or whatever a month just to see some games or races. Why not try and get on our side and lower the prices? I have no problem with streaming sports, even if they're in a different language. Sky get enough money.

Some people say this is a win, but some say the Murdoch/Darroch lawyers will have this sorted by the end of October. I say, with all the problems and money via legal problems currently in the UK and States w/ wiring tapping, keep milking their ass. On face value, and current settled law, of course the bastards have legal standing. But to me Satellite is a totally different beast, and it seems the EU sees it the same as well. When you have a chemical plant the fumes travel in the free air, when you transport pigs they stink up the free air, if a tractor trailer transports pecans to Belarus and 10 fall off en route, do they have legal standing to prosecute you if it falls in your yard and you eat them? These people create their own equipment to catch signals in the free air. Not manipulate BskyB´s own equipment to steal. This is why radio stations don´t and can´t charge you for listening to their station, they´ve hit the wall technologically where they can´t prevent selectively you from listening and inflict commerce directly. The same is happening with Satellite, it´s not our fault you sank 18 million 25 years ago to some Japanese firm to send that piece of metal into space. They were worth £5.354 billion in 2010 (total assets). They are basically fighting tooth and nail to the bitter end to keep a dying billed revenue stream. Open-source sat-capture devices/software will be the death-knell soon. I don´t feel too sorry for landlords, only those in pubs/towns too small to recoup the ridiculous flat rates, which should have obviously been scaled to metro and pub size. Bottom-line, James Murdoch is a greedy çunte

And oh yeah Sky uses VideoGuard a pay-TV scrambling system owned by NDS, (also a News Corp owned company) and a monster private equity firm called Permira. People don´t see the importance of acquisitions made 5 or 6 years ago until they get the higher bill.

+1 - i watched him closely last game and was not impressed..... wasted a lot of good ball..... he is taking a lot of deadballs though... even with Lamps on pitch so that is good... but his overall contribution was very bad imo. And he keeps getting hauled off with 20 or 30 minutes left..... when he could be hoovering up points......

Not worth a hit atm but i will be dumping him come wildcard in GW11 if he doesnt buck up....

I'm too considering Nasri + Silva as alternative to avoid FW rotation of City, but still not sure if it can outscore a pair of Aguero with someone, e.g. VDV or Ramsey.

Sturridge is very nice option into Chelsea attacking with his current form. Mata still not so convinced as EPL might not let him freely play like La Liga. Anyway, if he can adapt, he would be Chelsea's Silva and consistently gain points..

    Great new look! well done.
Though it seems that with all the graphics the site is much heavier & slow, and that is before I use my cell...
    I hope this gets better.

The search comments will be great and save your trailing through old pages to reply. On the flip side my rivals will be able to view all my posts in seconds, i liked that they had to work for it 😛

I have to admit, I'm not a fan of the 'click to drop down' reply button. It's easy to miss informative comments.

Can I see ALL replies and then hide them? It's a pain, I would rather see everything and then hide what I don't want to see.

Scouts - is the "report abuse" button just aimed at reporting spammers etc or is it also meant for reporting "abuse" in the more conventional sense of name calling?

Im no scout, but i am guessing anything along those lines.
Spamming, name calling, when kaz96 posts the same thing 500 times a page et

        Yeah spam, abuse etc..

Anything you don't like which isn't just an opinion or harmless fan rivalry.

It's for reporting any comment that is seen as abusive or one that breaks our T&C's. A reported comment gets emailed to admin and also the post gets flagged rather obviously for all admin and mods in the thread. Obvisously this needs to be used sensibly and not just to report someone who disagrees with you your point of view.

There should be ramifications for frequent abuse of the abuse button.
