Coming down from the highs of cheering captain Luis Suarez in person to a magnificent two point tally will be hard to do, but, this Sunday, the Dugout Discussion has come good with all sorts of tasty fixtures that will soon cleanse any palette…

There are three early kick-offs at 1:30pm today as we keep track of some top ties – the Manchester derby chief amongst them. All the following line-ups are sourced from the Premier League (@premierleague).

Fergie has named the same back-line as which drew at Liverpool while recalling Anderson, Nani and Wayne Rooney to his starting line-up. Roberto Mancini has kept the faith with Mario Balotelli while he can also call on a fit again Sergio Aguero. Teams in full are…

United XI: De Gea, Evra, Ferdinand, Evans, Smalling, Fletcher, Anderson, Nani, Young, Rooney, Welbeck.

City XI: Hart, Richards, Clichy, Lescott, Kompany, Milner, Barry, Yaya Toure, Silva, Aguero, Balotelli.

Arsene Wenger said he’ll have to rest Robin Van Persie eventually – he has now. Opting instead for the brute force of Marouanne Chamakh against Stoke. Captain Ryan Shawcross will likely find himself up against Aaron Ramsey at some point today. Teams in full are…

Arsenal XI: Szczesny, Mertesacker, Santos, Koscielny, Djourou, Arteta, Song, Walcott, Ramsey, Gervinho, Chamakh.

Stoke XI: Begovic, Shawcross, Wilkinson, Upson, Whelan, Etherington, Wilson, Delap, Whitehead, Crouch, Walters.

Fulham make a widespread amount of changes from their midweek European team while David Moyes gives loan signing Royston Drenthe his first start as well as super sub Apostolos Vellios. Teams in full are…

Fulham XI: Schwarzer, Baird, Riise, Hangeland, Grygera, Murphy, Sidwell, Dempsey. Dembele, Johnson, Zamora.

Everton XI: Howard, Distin, Baines, Hibbert, Jagielka, Neville, Fellaini, Rodwell, Osman, Drenthe, Vellios.

As these games either enter the dying embers or reach a heady climax the fourth game of the day will kick off as Harry Redknapp tries to keep on pressing up the table with a trip to Ewood Park. QPR playing host to Chelsea will then round out the gameweek on all good television screens.

A whole host of opportunities today with a wide array of fixtures and top teams to savour in the Dugout Discussion. Here’s hoping the stars can live up to their billing.

My favourite is Chris Waddle. "Gabby Ager-bong-galore" and "Pel-an-ty".

You need the right balance of keep the faith and knee jerk otherwise you will either fall behind by missing the big pointers or end up chasing points. Most of it can be down to luck though.

oh shit! i fcked up concerning boswinga. i was planning to do mertesacker to a cheap defender but rather did boswinga after his red card.
The only consolation is that chelsea have alternating difficult fixtures, so i don't think they will get many clean sheets, but he had a huge price while in my team.
oh darn it, i should have just done mertesacker.

i'd been 50-50 between bringing in vdv and nasri next week, for mata

leaning more towards vdv but this only leaves me with silva for city coverage. problem with city is you never know whos going to play or get the points. could have had aguero+nasri today and only got 7 points out of a 6-1 victory!

          I'm worried though

          1) Aguero rotation risk
          2) RVP will score 1 goal against leaky Chlesea defence
          3) I bought RVP for 11.9. Currently 12.1 and bound to rise 12.2. Which means wasting 2 transfers + $0.2M for the 2 week shuffle

          Not worth it imho

    A. bos > kompany
    B. Ward> shawx

radio 5 commentator just suggested that Bosingwa will be available against Arsenal next week, he will be suspended for the Carling cup game...however Drogba has 3 match ban due to violent conduct...

"If a player receives a red card, they will continue to be penalised for goals conceded by their team."

        Taken from FPL website rules.

Last season that's how it worked. The logic behind it being that the sent off player is equally responsible for the goals conceded as the ones on the pitch.

I've just checked J. Evans has got -3 for 6 goals conceded.

        That is how it works.

See Johnny Evans -5 points from earlier today as an example.

Nightmare week. Do I wildcard or just use 2 free transfers?

    Given Foster
    Kompany Bos Enrique Rangel STaylor
    Petrov Bale Nani Barton Moses
    Rooney Suarez Zamora

    What do you think guys?

Backline looks steady for at least a couple of games if you rotate well. This is what I would do:

      Bale -> VDV
      Zamora -> Bendtner (Yes, I am serious 🙂 )

Bendtner will get you goals and you can always rotate him out the squad and bring in Moses GW 11 due to fixtures.
