Three home matches in the next four have propelled Jonathan Walters up the Watchlist rankings, as Stoke continue to build on progress that has seen them successfully establish themselves in the Europa League, whilst maintaining solid league form.

Although Tony Pulis’ side may have struggled on their travels, their performances at the Britannia have been a different matter altogether. Stoke have conceded just a single goal in their four home games so far and, while their defence will no doubt receive some heavy Fantasy interest, Walters has arguably made a bigger impression than the Potters rearguard.

Nine Gameweeks into the season and the Republic of Ireland international, thanks in part to his role up front, is the top-scoring Fantasy Premier League (FPL) prospect in the Stoke City squad with a total of 43 points.

A breakdown of his Britannia returns thus far make for interesting reading – 2 goals, 3 clean sheets and a strong 7 bonus points; he’s failed to bank bonus in just one of his home fixtures to date, the season opener against Chelsea. Bonus has come against Liverpool (2), Man United (2) and Fulham (3)- in front of the Potters faithful, indicating that Walters’ game is clearly suited to the new EA SPORTS PPI scoring system.

At just 6.1 in the FPL, Walters costs less than the injury-prone Matt Etherington (6.4) and has just 5.7% ownership right now. With spot-kick duties also seemingly in the bag, he’s looking a strong proposition ahead of a run of games that sees him face Newcastle, Blackburn and QPR at the Britannia.

Walters warmed up for next Monday’s clash with Newcastle by grabbing an assist in Stoke’s 2-1 defeat by Liverpool last night and was unlucky to have a goal disallowed. Clearly, his eye for goal is in right now and Pulis will be reliant on him to deliver as the Potters look to bounce back from their Carling Cup exit.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

    my last 3 transfers out and form since;

van persie - 6 goals in 4 matches
    brunt - goal + 2 assists in 2 matches
    dzeko - 2 goals, 1 assist in 1 match

brought in aguero, moses & suarez in meantime - 1 goal in accumulated 7 matches.

this week i'm doing nothing, except maybe getting my keeper & bench all wrong.

    WC Team:
    Hennessey, Mignolet (perfect rotation)
    Kompany, Enrique, Wilkinson, Barnett, Simpson
    Silva, VDV, Walters, Sinclair, Pilkington
    Aguero, RVP, Bendtner
    0.5 in bank.

Could do Cleverley instead of Pilkington to leave 0.3 in bank
or Sturridge for Bendtner with 0 in bank.

    Anything obvious I've missed???

I would never have a Norwich defender by choice, currently have De Laet. Switch to McAuley, slightly cheaper too.

I'd wait a couple weeks for Bendtner and have Sturridge until GW12.

      Otherwise looks good to me.

Do you think Chelsea can keep a CS vs Arsenal?

They are 3rd favourites to keep a CS which i find quite surprising.

I was thinking of shifting Bosingwa for Wilkinson (it'll enable me to bring in Ramsey for Dyer next week), but seeing Chelsea 3rd most likely to keep a CS I'm thinking whether I should save the transfer and stick with Simpson Kompany Bosingwa.

What would you go with? I could do DeLaet to Wilkinson but this wouldn't allow me to get Ramsey next week.

Everybody considering getting Aguero in this GW, I believe that you will keep him and for the next week, Next week the trip to QPR is on the cards. On paper good fixture, but they haven't conceded more that one goal at home, till now. Also that game will be after the crucial CL game so there could be some rotation/ tiredness.

Thinking that maybe I could go without Aguero at all and have Rooney and RVP upfront. After the QPR game there is the international brake, Aguero will be flying to Argentina and next is New at home. New has conceded only 2 goals away from home. Both of the teams will keep it tight. No chance of them playing open game against City, That leaves Wolves as the source of the big points. Well lets assume that he'll start, but almost definitely he'll be subbed early. Except if City aren't wining, but that will means no points for him. So I could cope without Aguero for one week, no?

On the other hand Roonster and RVP have great, really great fixtures in midterm/ long term as you like. And if he gets some points against Wol, a lot of the players will keep him. I already have SIlva and Kompany in my team, so I might be over reliant on City's form. After the NEW game they play against Liv, Che and Ars in the next 4, I would definitely prefer Roonster for that spell. I might even sell Silva for Nani.

So the main conclusion is that I am thinking of sitting behind the table, while watching Aguero in Sat and hope for the best. Discussion is welcomed.

Wishful thinking .... Newcastle have conceded 2 goals away because we have played:

      a) A poor Sunderland team
      b) A defensive villa team
      c) An unlucky QPR team
      d) A terrible wolves team

Man City are a different proposition.

In those 3 games, Aguero probably plays what, 200 mins? I'd say he'll get some points.

            Tot = VDV

I have a very similar team and would likely hold pat. I am twitching on Moses, but after the price drops it doesn't really make sense to bail at this stage.

I might try and get in Cleverly or Ben Arfa for Moses or Dyer in the next few weeks depending on form and fixtures.

Lots of people jumping ship on Bosingwa. Could be an option if you wanted to pile onto the Kyle Walker train or get some Stoke coverage. I had him from the start though, so not sure I am willing to give up 0.4M from the price rise for the next couple of weeks.

This was my thinking appreciate some feedback

Mata - Walters then allows Suarez > RVP next week and Bosingwa to Shawx

Selection dilemma this week. Here is my current thinking:

    Vorm (Given)
    Komps Enrique Tierney (Boyata Bos)
VDV (C) Mata Ramsey Dyer (Moses)
    Roo Ade (V) Suarez

Debate is around the last spot - have Dyer in there now, but Bos, Boyata, Moses - all options.

    Thoughts?

Play Bos over Tierney. Norwich could have lost a hatful last week and will concede.

      The rest looked spot on,

yeah reckon chelsea will be tight vs arsenal, so go bos, + he's more likely to get attacking points. you're in a good position tho, no real weaknesses there. i fancy dyer this week, up against petrov/robinson for bolton, who are weak defensively.

with the new format if I wait two weeks to get Walters in surely he will have risen by 0.2 and who I'm shipping out for him will have fallen at least 0.1

0.1 shy and proud of it

Ok guys, sorry for keep asking but im leaving for Rome tomorrow morning so need to sort my team out tonight. Im pretty sure my team will outscore my rival's team this week. The only threat is if he captains Silva, which he will, and David scores massively. Im deciding between going all in on VDV and giving him the armband, or neutralize Silva by captaining him and hoping for the rest of my team to outscore my rival's. Opinions?

Definitely VDV ahead of Silva for the armband.

He's on pens, free kicks, everything and is in better goalscoring form. Coming up against a side that conceded 6 in their last away game too.

only when spurs need to. if they are 3-0 up then he be benched at 60 min again. Blackburn were causing trouble and likely to score equaliser. So he stayed on incase.

no...why transfer out a form striker in a good team for another form striker in a good team. Makes no sense. Transferring in anyMan City player days before a crucial champs league game is risky enough. I'd do it for a player that was injured, but to transfer out a performer like Sturridge. Do me a lemon, my old shiner, that's mentaloidistically mad.

Another week goes by and I still haven't got rid of Victor Moses, the 2 point expert.
Roberto Martinez was on the radio this morning. He was pretty bullish about their forthcoming fixtures.

One last chance for Victor to come good?
