The draw for the first round of the Paddy Power Cup has been made and qualifiers can click on this link to find out exactly who they’ll be pitting their wits against. Let’s see if graqfreak can take the scalp of none other than Scout overlord Mark this coming Gameweek.

The deadline for transfers for Round 1 is, of course, this Saturday at 11.30, with the announcement of the results to follow a day or two after the end of the Gameweek.

        Priorities IMO are suarez out first, then evans, then maybe B. Johnson. I would just do Suarez> Chicarito for this week, then Evans > BAE, and then Johnson > Rodwell (if fit). Something along those lines anyway would be my advice

          Of, so per your challenge, I DID go and "check em out". And I guess my question is whether you define "most" the same way the rest of us do. Because when I look at your transfers after the wildcard, I see 5 that "worked out" (e.g. covered your transfer hit that week) and 9 that were a total failure.

          Odem, GW6: 2pts
          Nani, GW7-8: 4 pts (2 PPG)
          Aguero, GW7: 1 pt
          Sturridge, GW8-10: 10 pts (3.3 PPG)

          Walcott, GW4-6: 9 pts (3 PPG)
          Kompany, GW 8-10: 10 pts (3.3 PPG)

          RVP, I'll give you that. But waiting until GW11????

          Here I haven't considered the opportunity cost of the players your removed. But just to pick one example, Kompany's 3.3 PPG came in for Ryan Taylor, who during the same period scored 5 PPG. So that would be an overall loss of 9 points (5 from scoring, 4 from hit). But then, you took a hit to get Kompany back out of the team again, so maybe it should be a loss of 13 points. Not sure.

            to be fair I should add Chicharito to that "worked out" list, but i don't feel that 1GW is long enough to make an assessment. Certainly you're +3 out of that Suarez->Hernandez business last week.

    Play Enrique or Warnock and play Dyer or Brunt. Currently set as

      Think Enrique should be played ahead of Warnock. Think chances of clean sheets for either are slim, Enrique's ability to attract a BP or two... will pick him over Warnock

      Dyer/Brunt - bit of a coin toss really. Dyer seems to do well at home, Brunt form not great - but always a sneaky goal/assist/bp chance

            Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea = classical top 4. May bring Richards in after the tough fixtures, as well as upgrade Dyer as suggested. Also considering:

    Hodgson has criticised Odemwingie for being injured, oh dear. His goals kept us up last season, he has barely played 2 games in a row so far this season and has still scored 2 goals. Odemwingie is god.
