A run of three home fixtures in the next four gameweeks brings Jamie O’Hara into our updated Watchlist rankings this week. Back from a one-match suspension, the former Tottenham man will be key to Mick McCarthy’s side as they look to climb the table after a disappointing first few months of the season.

With Wolves sitting fourth-bottom, just two points above the relegation zone, this upcoming run of games will be a critical part of their season and O’Hara’s recent form certainly offers reasons to be optimistic. Site Members will be all too familiar with his potential- O’Hara’s threat and creativity has seen him stationed in the top ten of our ICT Index virtually all season, with a recent change of system from Big Mick finally allowing him to flourish as a Fantasy asset.

A move to 4-5-1 has afforded O’Hara the chance to play further forward, tucked in just behind Kevin Doyle, and while his away form has been far from flattering, he has scored in his last three Molineux games in all competitions. League goals against Swansea and Wigan, in addition to netting against Man City in the Carling Cup defeat, are clear examples of a resurgent eye for goal.

While a trip to Old Trafford could blunt his returns, a look at his other fixtures in the aforementioned run (SUN, mun, STO, NOR) shows just why he’s sprung to our attention. Sunderland, Stoke and Norwich have been abysmal on their travels, with a single away win each so far this season and if Wolves can replicate the home form that seen them dismiss Man City, Man United and Chelsea at Molineux last term, O’Hara will surely feature.

Priced at just 5.7 in Fantasy Premier League (FPL) and with an ownership of just 1.8%, he could prove a handy, mid-priced differential over the next few matches ahead of the busy Christmas schedule.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

      Suarez -> Adebayor

      or Drenthe -> O'Hara/Brunt

      or downgrade BAE this week, and use the money elsewhere.

    Whether or not to keep VDV is going to be one of the big decisions of the season. So tempting to do him > O'Hara and Bendtner > Ade...

      Thinking about the same. Maybe even do VDV --> Bale and Bendtner --> Adebayor. And on top of that, what do i do with Rooney? Good fixtures coming up, but he's just not firing atm.

        If I could afford the Bale switch with Ade as well I'd do it, but I'm some way off. Rooney I'm keeping, kept him this long and it's paid off with the likes of Baines so far.

        Thing with VDV is though even if he will be back, if he's out this week then I'm not fussed about having him for an away game against Stoke, don't want him just occupying 10million of my budget for more than a week without playing.

      same as me below. I have Ade and VDV, I prefer VDV to Bale, and cant really do all three. Hopefully Harry will tell us more before the weekend. If hes fit I reckon definetly keep VDV. Cant you do Bendtner Baa next week?

        There is little suggestion that DVD's hammy is a big problem, he nurses it constantly and will miss the odd game because of it. But he is worth keeping even if he misses BOL this GW, I'm convinced he'll be back next week at the latest, and may well make it this GW.FPL gold is DVD.

            I've been looking at Hernandez too but for me it really depends on how Man Utd are going to play Rooney. If they are playing him deeper then Hernandez makes a lot of sense, but with Young/Valencia now fit do you think will they put Rooney back up front?

    'Arry sounds very aroused when talking about Defoe recently which raises questions about VDV's role in the side.

    I have no doubt a fit VDV is (and should be) one of the first names on his teamsheet but as we all know, with Defoe in good form and VDV coming back from injury, it seems very possible 'Arry won't be in any rush to put VDV back in the starting XI.

    To take this further though, it might not be long before he tries to accomodate both players in the side which may see a wide role for VDV (and a rest for Lennon) like we seen at the start of the season. Should Defoe put in another great and goalscoring performance this weekend the potential for such a measure would increase. Perhaps a little unlikely but just something to consider.

          Also, DVD's work ethic going backwards is pretty poor, it would leave Walker very exposed and limited his ability to bomb forward. I don't see Droopy moving DVD out wide at all, so it comes down to form and trust.

          Droopy trusts Defoe more but knows his team benefit limitations are greater. DVD is far better at making the team play, but if he doesn't play well, he doesn't play at all.

    Westwood (Vorm)
    Jones, Enrique, Naylor
    Silva VDV, Brunt, Larsson
    Suarez, Adebayor, RVP

    Subs: Dyer, Simpson, Warnock

    Im thinking..

      They are playing Stoke after Europa, their previous results after it have been:

      Sunderland 4-0
      Swansea 2-0
      Arsenal 3-1
      Bolton 5-0

      Great chance of Everton scoring big and keeping a clean sheet. Could be a excellent punt.

    I'm thinking of bringing in Gabbidon!

    I've projected my defenders forward and the two gameweeks that I really need cover, QPR have better fixtures than the likes of Swansea and Norwich.

    I also think he may be a better shout for this weekend than Simpson. Bear in mind my strategy is to have 3 cheap defenders(perm 1 from 3) and play my slightly more expensive one's.

      Wow. I thought I was the only one thinking this. Rotates beautifully with Swans and post Utd doesn't have a bad home game till March! I'm an uber cheap man and may stray to Baines so we need all the choice we can get.

      That's my strategy - my defence is Kompany, Enrique, Baines, Gabbidon and Simpson. More often or not I play Kom, Enriq and Baines, and bench the others. Although this week I'll be giving Gabbidon a starting spot!

    Sources of points swing to and throw constantly. A couple of weeks back Lamps, Silva, Nani and VDV alongside the likes of Drenthe, Walters and Larsson made MF seem like a gold mine (RVP was the only consistent forward man). Now I look and can scarcely see any reliable points within that area. Nani has lost form, VDV is injured, Lamps and Silva have been rotated. It all looks rather underwhelming aside from Bale, but can we trust him long term as good a real life player he is?

      I personally don't like Jones as an option (prefer Evra for a touch more). There are no major issues apart from Ferguson. Simply get rid asap. Get someone like Pilk or Eagles or HBA. Winter is coming and your double Dutch contingent won't make it through smoothly.
